The full trailer showing off our newest content drop has been released, giving us some fresh insight and more time to theorize about how exactly the full kits will work. Between Move-In Reg Gregor, our new Banner EGO, new animations for 9:2 Faust and Soda Ryoshu, and an all-new announcer, we’ve got a decent chunk of content to discuss!
Let me walk you through everything we can glean from this trailer, from the thematic foreshadowing behind Gregor’s new EGO, to possible upgrades with the Uptie 5s coming next Wednesday.
Move-In Reg Gregor in Action

Today’s trailer opened with Move-In Reg Gregor’s full suite of animations, including his Awakening and Corrosion in full. As expected, Move-In Reg appears to be a heavy-hitting AOE multi-hit that forcibly implants debuffs on the enemy.
We can see Burn effects go off on hit, confirming the suspected Status focus, we can only hope the EGO also rewards proper Charge usage, giving it a niche with AEDD Gregor as well as Dawn Office. Thematically, the EGO and it’s dialogue continue to hard on Gregor’s fundamental flaw, his reliance on authority figures.
Gregor, as a character, is desperate to be led by a symbol of authority. In his early life, it led him to accept his mother’s experiments and abuse; it served him well during his tour in the Smoke War, and it’s what allows him to slot so easily into the LCB’s dynamic, with some of the fewest complaints of any Sinner.
Move-In Reg Gregor’s Corrosion dialogue harps on this beautifully, depicting him encountering an error and requesting administrator support. When none arrives, he asks to reboot, and when he can’t take that step for himself, he desperately attempts to continue his main objective, violently smashing every foe unlucky enough to get in the way of his tearful tantrum.
Gregor is all too eager to dehumanize himself, and the robotic nature of Move-In Reg is a perfect addition to his lineup. Funnily enough, both 9:2 Faust and Soda Ryoshu seem to have new voice lines, despite their identical animations. Another mystery to be solved on patch day!
Mechanically strong and thematically sound, we’ll have to wait until Monday for Move-In Reg’s full kit, but I’m already taking the time to gather my shards!
Index Duo Announcer Drop

Alongside EGOs new and old, we’ve also got a sudden, unexpected announcement adding to our selection of House of Spiders announcers, this time starring the Index Duo, Nursefather Rien, and Apprentice Sora. Sure to be a mix of strange poetry and wide eyed adoration.
The Index duo have arguably the most complicated of the Nursefather/Apprenctice relationships explored in Canto 9, on the surface not so bad, but only becoming sadder as you pull back the layers. A man who just doesn’t care and a girl who couldn’t care more is a truly tragic pair, and after the end of the Canto, I’m shocked we’re getting anything for Sora,
It’s a welcome surprise though, Sora is a personal favorite amidst the absolutely stellar character lineup that is the House of Spiders Apprentices. With an incredibly powerful ID, strong story significance, and direct involvement in one of the most exciting parts of the most recent Canto, Rien and Sora’s announcer back is going to be well worth pulling for, at least personally.
Rien and Sora’s announcer will probably be added to the free announcer picker options dropped by Lei Heng’s Reflectrial, so make sure you best him and claim yours before the duo drop! Already taken down our most recent boss? Why not enjoy the spoils and secure our freshest ID?
