Mistfall Hunter – Best Seer Build

Seer is a class that stretches the typical class definition of a Cleric, allowing players to focus on constructing supportive pylons or battering down the opposition with crippling debuffs. Either way, in both Solo and Trios, the Seer’s myriad tools can pull the team out of the fire when things get darkest, as long as you know what you’re doing.

To that end, let’s take a look at the best Seer build in Mistfall Hunter, including the best in-slot weapon, skills, and a few example setups to get you on the right track.

    Seer’s Playstyles

Seer, like every class, has two weapons they can choose between. Unlike the other classes, Seer can only effectively utilize one of these weapons in a run, selected at Camp in the Skill menu.

The Reverent Seer utilizes ranged attacks and constructs to hold enemies back and empower allies, while the Blasphemer bludgeons foes with a Mace charged with profane magics. Lets look at the best weapons for each best Seer build archetype.

    Best Catalyst Build for Seer

As the purely ranged option, the Catalyst is a Trios format powerhouse that really struggles to hold its own in solo play. With only three dodge stamina, low base damage, and Skills more focused around team play, the Reverent Seer struggles to defend themself.

Defending allies, however, is a different story. The Seer’s laundry list of buffs and traps enable a hands off playstyle further empowered by their best-in-slot weapon, Byrnes’s Ash Urn, and a selection of Seamless gems. The weapon enhances the Seer’s effects across the board, while Seamless grants extra Skill cooldown speed with a further bonus surge on player takedown.

The Reverent Seer can grant allies Stealth, shields, move speed, and even a limited-time death prevention when things get real hairy. Bonus heals, turrets, and constant long-range fire will keep your enemy from catching their footing while your teammates run them through.

    Best Mace Build for Seer

Over to the melee side of the Seer, we have the Blasphemer. Constant melee pressure, mountains of Super Armor, and a wide selection of debuffs to keep your enemies weak. The Blasphemer is much more viable in solo content, even if certain matchups can suck.

Their debuffs help them act as a berserker frontline for Trios, providing openings for the team and creating openings whenever possible. With their Zeal Basic Skill, the Seer becomes a powerhouse, with enhanced strength, defense, and a selection of either rapid Mana generation or bottomless Super Armor.

When it comes to the best Seer build for Blasphemers, Absolution is the way to go, a legendary Mace that enhances damage and overall physical attack. Focus on damaging gems like Strife and Fervor to keep enemies crumbled as you attack, looping your pressure with your selection of different Heavy Attack Runes.

Best Seer Skill and Talent Builds

Now that we have an idea of the Seer’s two game plans and their optimal gear, let’s go over the best Skills and Talents to enable these play styles. Whether you want to play the middle space and hold enemies back or tear them apart at point blank, the Seer has options for you.

Build 1 – Bask In Benevolence

If you’re running with a squad, a supportive Reverent Seer is a great addition to keep the team in peak form. Acting as Mistfall Hunter’s primary healer, this version of the Seer uses summonable constructs and more typical spells in tandem, while maintaining their Psionic Orbs to put out ranged damage.

While healing is solid, the Seer has far more options for enhancing their Shielding through both the Shelter Rune construct and the Psionic Shield Divine Art. Stopping damage from happening at all is far better than trying to recover the HP lost, especially since all of the Seer’s pure healing options have limited charges.

For our Rune Pillars, we run Punishment Rune, Binding Rune, and Shelter Rune. Binding Rune allows us to minimize the enemy’s mobility, making it easier to keep them in range of Punishment Rune and all our allies. With the Rigidity Talent from the Counter Rune tree, any enemy who manages to escape the Binding Rune’s aura will be additionally stunned, making them easy pickings.

Synergy from the Counter Rune tree will reward us with extra damage for fighting alongside our Punishment Rune, while Shelter Rune keeps everyone covered thanks to the Potency Sanctuary Talent from the Path of Asceticism.

Follow up the left side of the Art of Offense and Defense Tree for shield regen and some healing on successful charged attacks before we move on to our Divine Arts.

For these more typical spells, we’ve got Death Ward and Psionic Shield. We’ll fully upgrade our Shield’s talents, making it faster to cast and cool down, while Death Ward can save allies from the brink of death, especially with the bonus shield from Shelter when it wares off.

With this setup, you have the absolute best seer build for long-term battles and team support. Now, let’s say you’re tired of playing in the backline, that means it’s time to SIN!

    Build 2 – Sacrilege Smackdown

While the Blasphemer Seer has less overall options than it’s Reverent counterpart, they make up for it in tempo and overall effectiveness. We’ll be running three distinct Rune Enchantments that give our enhanced heavy melee mountains of utility.

These enhanced heavies are tied to Curse Mana, a resource built by attacking enemies and over time. By going through the right path of the Zeal Enhancement tree, we’ll be getting extra Curse Mana during Zeal, gaining full Super Armor, and extending the duration while attacking.

One of the first runes you unlock, Rune: Corruption, lets you apply Healing Mitigation to foes after a sizable dash, closing the gap and leaving enemies vulnerable. This is a stellar punish for anyone you catch trying to heal mid-fight.

Next is Rune: Ankle Cut, giving us an AOE explosion that cripples enemy mobility while allowing us to strike multiple targets. Finally, Rune: Stun is an overhead leap that fully stuns anyone struck by it, allowing us to stun loop plenty of NPCs and net extra damage on players.

For Divine Arts, we’ll go for Paralysis Curse and Impact Sigil, two options that give us much-needed range. With the Electrocution talent upgrade, we’ll maintain normal walk speed while aiming for the stun, helping us keep out of range of enemies while abusing our own.

Impact Sigil will get both Talent upgrades, Internal Injury and Mastery, reducing enemy healing, move speed, and extra Curse Mana on hit. Finally, Battle-Fed grants extra Curse Mana on unit kill, while Vault will extend Rune: Stun’s leap.

With this loadout, we have the best Seer build for the Blasphemer tree, a personal favorite alongside Mercenary. Deceptively simple, the Seer has so much outplay potential I can’t stop queuing it!

Now that you’ve spent plenty of time in Hallowgrave, don’t be afraid to expand your horizons. Brandgarde may be Trios only, but with a proper team and well-built heroes, you’ve got a whole new horizon.
