The Key of Indolent is one of the three keys found within The Slab, and this is one of the required keys to help you escape the area. The way to get the key could prove difficult after you are stripped of all your weapons and gear. But there is still a way to retrieve the key and use it to unlock the new areas. This guide will explain how to get the Key of Indolent and its use in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Key of Indolent Location in Hollow Knight Silksong
The Key of Indolence is located on the western upper section of The Slab. To get to this location, if you are here after your gear has been taken, go west to find a locked door. Break open the roof above and continue west past the guards above. Drop down and cling to the wall till you spot an opening on your right.
Defeat the enemies here and keep going east; you will come across the first Indolent door. Drop down the ditch beside the door and hit the floor. On your right is a trapped Grindle if you haven’t freed him already. Continue west and break the lantern on the roof to get the Key of Indolent.
Where to Use the Key of Indolent in Silksong
There are two doors that require the Key of Indolent, and unlocking them helps you get closer to the guard room to retrieve your items. After acquiring the key, go east to where Grindle was and use the Key of Indolent to unlock the door. Continue to go east and don’t drop down the ditch. Rather, go further east to find a Bench beside Grindle. After resting up, go back west and drop down now.
You will spot the trap door that requires the Key of Heretic, but we won’t go through it now. Instead, go east and reach the end to find the lock requiring the Key of Indolent. Prepare to fight several enemies and evade a spinning blade in the next area. Once the area is cleared, head east and climb up. After reaching the very top, head west.
Don’t drop down the ditch; instead, hop up to the upper platforms and continue west. Once you reach the end of the platforms, drop down and go east, pull the lever to unlock the door beside it. Drop down the ditch beside the lever and continue to go down to get to the guard area. Defeat the guards here to retrieve your gear, enabling you to fight once more. Exploring this area will also need the Key of Apostate, which also opens up a door to the precious Mask Shard fragment. So, make sure that you have this in your possession.
