With the Worlds Part 2 update in No Man’s Sky, there are tons of new activities to partake in. While also working on the new questline and unlocking the purple star system, you can also collect new milestones. The update introduces new Fishing Milestones, but you can’t find them on the milestone roadmap. Rather, you need to complete certain quests to uncover it, after which you can collect new unique fish-themed helmets. In this guide we will give you the rundown of unlocking all fishing milestones in No Man’s Sky: Worlds Part II.
How To Unlock Fishing Milestones In No Man’s Sky Worlds Part II
Fishing Milestones are not readily noticeable while playing the game, but you can randomly unlock them by playing the game and exploring the new water planets in the new solar system. But if you want to know how to find these milestones so you can better prepare yourself, then there is a way to go about it. You need to head over to your Appearance Modifier terminal on any space station and select the Banner option in the customization menu.
Once here, select the New Title option on the right side of the screen, and you will get a new list of objectives or challenges to complete to unlock new titles. To unlock the fishing milestones specifically, scroll all the way to the right side. Somewhere on the 8th slide from the right, you will spot a couple of ocean, fish, and water-related objectives. There are six objectives in particular to look out for, and we have listed them all below along with the helmets they unlock after completing the objective.
Title | Description | Helmet |
Child of Aquarius | Survive the boiling seas | Jellyfish helmet |
Fishmonger | Sell large amounts of fish | Shrimp helmet |
The Angler | Caught 250 fish | Sailfin/ Squid helmet |
Friend of the Ocean | Release 60 fish into the water | Deep Water Hunter helmet |
Of the Old River | Catch every legendary fish | Sailfin/ Squid helmet |
Wet Boots | Haul in 5 footwear | Floating Boot helmet |
How To Get All New Fishing Helmets
Most of the objectives are pretty straightforward, but you will require a fishing rig to complete them. Then, make your way to any water planet, including the new ones in the purple star system, to start collecting fish. Once you have an ample amount of fish, you can head into your inventory and release the required amount of fish back into the water, or head over to any market to sell fish. You might also capture some footwear during the process, so you can complete multiple objectives in one go.
Some of the objectives might take a bit of time, like capturing every legendary fish. You need to explore all planets, including the new Gas Giants, to capture every single legendary fish available. Also, you need to encounter the Deepwater Guardian during your fishing expedition, which will appear after capturing and releasing the Child of Aquarius jellyfish. Defeating the Deepwater Guardian boss will unlock the Child of Aquarius title and the respective helmet.
