Zero Parades is the much-awaited follow-up to Disco Elysium – which, since its launch back in 2019, has developed a devoted fan-base of its own, and deservedly so: the world-building, dialog-heavy gameplay, the multiple ways in which you could chart your way through the story, as well as the solid voice acting – all of them still hold up admirably even today. So, it’s only natural that there would be a huge burden of expectations on the makers, and here as well, ZA/UM has been through a lot of upheaval.
The game is set in the town of Portofiro, and the players will take up the role of Hershel Wilk – in one last chance of redemption – that one final mission to solve. How you go about it, and the various branching dialogs with the several NPCs around the town is what forms the crux of the game.

But, no matter how you feel about this new iteration of Za/Um, their new IP is every bit as captivating as that which came before. [Read More…]
