Where Winds Meet does offer a couple of puzzles that are tied to the quests, but none is as confusing as the Yin Yang Dial Puzzle. You will encounter this puzzle as part of the Cries in the Distance quest, where you need to rescue Brother Feng and exit a secluded cave. This guide will detail how to complete the quest and the puzzle below.
How To Solve The Yin Yang Dial Puzzle in Cries in the Distance Quest

Turn the four smaller pillars so that the Water & Fire pillars face each other, and Heaven & Earth pillars do not. If you take a closer look at the smaller pillars, you will spot a dragon’s head sticking out. We have marked the Heaven and Earth pillars as pillars 1 and 2, while the Water and Fire pillars are pillars 3 and 4, and given the steps below:

- Rotate pillars 1 and 2 so that the mist flowing from them makes its way into the Yin-Yang dial.
- The end result should be that the two pillars have their dragon heads facing away from each other.
- Once done, rotate the Yin-Yang dial till the two circles that you and Brother Feng had stepped on previously are now in front of pillars 1 and 2.

- Next, rotate pillars 3 & 4, such that the dragon heads on these two pillars face each other.
- Once done, rotate the Yin Yang dial so that the two circles in front of the dial fall in front of pillars 3 and 4.
- Completing the puzzle will uncover a secret area below, so continue onwards for the rest of the quest.
This should solve the puzzle, opening a secret area below for you to continue the Cries in the Distance quest.
How To Reach The Yin-Yang Dial Puzzle in Where Winds Meet

To start the quest, head over to Moonveil Peak at Qinghe and make your way up the stairs. You will hear a mysterious voice; follow the voice to find the owner. Keep an eye on your screen for a speech icon that will show you the direction of the voice. It will also get bigger the closer you get to the source.
You need to scale down the side of the mountain by carefully stepping on the ledges. You will spot a tree below, and right below the tree is a cave that you need to enter. You will also find a treasure chest on the ledge beside the tree, so grab the loot before entering the cave.
Enter the Lower Level to find the Trapped Person

Enter the hatch inside the cave and speak to the person behind the wall. You will identify the voice as belonging to Feng Jisheng. Your next task here would be to activate the array. Right behind you will be a cave entrance covered with vines. Use the Fire Arrow to burn it down.
Enter the circle inside the cave to open the stone wall and free Brother Feng. Your next task is to speak to him and complete the Eight Trigrams Formation. While he steps on one circle within the stone floor, you need to step on the opposite circle. This will bring up the Yin Yang Dial puzzle.
