During the “Echoes of Old Battles” Lost Chapter in Where Winds Meet, you’ll investigate the remnants from the Khitan invasion at the southern part of Qinghe, which have been captured by thugs. As you progress through the quest, you’ll find yourself stuck at a puzzle, which requires you to recreate the sacred motto of the Northern Vow. How to Solve the Puzzle on the Wall in Where Winds Meet
To solve the puzzle on the wall, you need to push three illuminating stone blocks with the right Chinese symbols. You’ll obtain the required clue from Yanyun Oath Clue three, which features multiple symbols. After performing the Yanyun Oath gesture in front of the statue, the Chinese symbols on the walls will light up, and the stone blocks will be pushed out.
The solution to the puzzle is pushing the stone blocks with the specific Chinese symbols in the following locations around the statue:
- From the back of the statue, head to the left corner, beside the door and push the stone block
- Then, head to the right wall, and push the stone block directly to the right of the statue, just beside the torch.
- Lastly, push the stone block directly to the left of the one you just pushed, located on the same wall. Do not push the stone block above; push the one that’s below.

First Stone Block
From the back of the statue, head to the corner of the left wall, and push the stone block with the Chinese symbol corresponding to the image above. This will be located to the left of the door that needs to be opened. After you’ve pushed this block, head back to behind the statue.
Second Stone Block
Again, from the back of the statue, head directly to the right and push the stone with the Chinese symbol corresponding to the image above. This stone block will be located to the right of the glowing fiery torch. Once you’ve pushed this stone block, stay on the same wall. The next solution is located just beside the stone block you pushed.
Third Stone Block
On the same wall (the right wall), go left and push the stone block that’s below. You’ll find two stone blocks there: one higher up the wall and one below. Check out the image above and push the stone block with the corresponding Chinese symbol to solve the puzzle.
