During the progression of the main questline in Path of Exile 2, you will gain many bonuses to your character. These bonuses are tied to specific quests and boss battles. Introduction to Cruel Difficulty:

After you complete Act 3, the game will switch over to Cruel difficulty, and you will go through the entire game (from Act 1 to Act 3)again but with tougher bosses and more rewards. The Cruel difficulty adds another interesting layer to the game, you will be undertaking the same challenges as before but with more intense gameplay.
