The Ore Analyzer is one of several pieces of equipment in Starsand Island that you’ll use regularly for crafting. While getting the analyzer isn’t too difficult and only requires wood and copper sheets, actually using it can be a bit confusing when you first try.
However, you’ll definitely want to get used to the analyzer and use it to stock up on items like Ancient Parts, which are required resources for a number of recipes, including some vehicles. In short, the Ore Analyzer gives you materials that help make your life easier.
Starsand Island – Craft an Ore Analyzer
First, you need to start the crafting apprenticeship with Zerine, which opens up the ability to purchase blueprints. As you complete the main quests for crafting and increase your crafting rank, additional blueprints become available.
It only takes a few quests before Zerine will tell you to purchase sets of blueprints and craft those items, and among the required crafts is the Ore Analyzer. Purchase this blueprint from her terminal in the general shop, and then use your Cutter, Furnace, and Worktable to craft it with eight pieces of Hardwood and two Copper Sheets.

Once it’s created, you can open your bag and place it on your property the same way you place furniture.
Starsand Island – Using the Ore Analyzer

When you interact with the Ore Analyzer, it gives you an ore list with items such as the Common Ore Chunk that you can place inside the analyzer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exactly tell you how to get ore chunks, which are different from standard metal ores, such as copper and iron.

The only place to get Common Ore Chunks is in the Moonlit Forest. To enter, you have to first start the explorer apprenticeship, which is where you get a slingshot from Zephyria. This lets you follow the path to the south behind your house to a rock with glowing sections. Hit each glowing section with your slingshot to open the portal to Moonlit Forest.
Inside the forest, you have a chance to get Common Ore Chunks when you mine standard nodes, such as copper and iron. When you break the rock, you might find Common Ore Chunks among the other ores you pick up. Then, you’ll interact with the Ore Analyzer and place your chunks inside it to obtain items such as Ancient Parts in Starsand Island.
