The Secret Edict Chamber was an area in Where Winds Meet that was well worth plundering, as exploring its depths offered powerful new weapons and a Mystic Skill.
Unlocking the chamber isn’t a straightforward task, though. I had to retrace my steps, locate the correct keys, and open the right doors to get here. Something that is easier said than done, I assure you.
Additionally, players need to figure out how to navigate the traps scattered throughout the chamber. But, in the end, the effort it took to traverse this place was worth it, just for the treasures found within.
This guide details how to unlock the Secret Edict Chamber and locate all loot within it in Where Winds Meet.
How to Enter the Secret Edict Chamber in Where Winds Meet
At the southernmost section of Kaifeng, you will encounter the Secret Edict Chamber waypoint that is supposed to take you inside the chamber, but it will be locked for now.
To unlock it, you need to follow several steps, starting with collecting two sets of keys.
Secret Passage Key Location
Teleport to the Jade River Pond waypoint in the southwest section of Kaifeng. You will spawn next to a gazebo.
From here, head east towards the cave entrance and take the ladder up. Keep going up until you reach a room.
Explore the passageways and rooms here to find more ladders that will take you further up. At the end of one of the upper passages is a golden chest. Unlock it to get the Secret Passage Key.
Secret Tunnel Key Location
Head over to Dreamfall Cliff waypoint and complete the Old Village Ruins challenge here. You can either fight your way through the outpost or convince the guard that you are a wrestling grandmaster.
Whichever method you pick, you will get the Secret Tunnel Key after clearing the outpost and defeating the boss.
Explore the Underground Tunnel
After gathering the keys, head southwest of the outpost and enter the storage building here. Once inside, investigate the wall to find a hidden door.
Unlock the door with the Secret Tunnel Key, then head inside. Be prepared to fight several enemies here; your goal is to find a large locked door that requires the Secret Passage Key.
Once you find this door, unlock and go through it, then immediately push open the door to your left and go inside.
Unlock the Golden Door
Jump down the hole in the floor and explore the rest of the passage until you come across a large golden door. You will also spot a golden bell beside the door.
Use your bow and arrow to strike the bell, then use Meridian Touch to unlock the golden door. Enter through the doorway to uncover the Secret Edict Chamber.
To the leftmost corner of the room, activate the chamber’s Boundary Stone to gain access to this area anytime.
Exploring the Secret Edict Chamber
Within this area is another set of doors that will help you go deeper into the chamber. Defeat all the enemies here, then walk up to the large statue at the end of the room.
There are two paths you can take, and each will lead you to different locations. Don’t worry, though, you will always return to this main hall, regardless of which path you take. For the sake of this guide, let’s take the right side path from the statue.
Sovereign Sword Location
Take the stairs leading down and avoid the spike traps falling from above by either crouching and walking ahead or make a run for it.
At the end of the passage, pull the lever to stop the spike traps. You will encounter another locked golden door and another bell hanging overhead.
Use your bow and arrow again to strike the bell and unlock the door using Meridian Touch. Turn left after entering and pick up the Sovereign Sword, then continue forward.
Triumph Sword Location
You will soon reach a circular room filled with spike traps below. To get across, press the G key to jump across to the platforms to the side.
Keep moving upwards by jumping on the platforms until you find a chest near the ledge. Collect the items from the chest, then turn around to find a passage where you get to collect the Triumph Sword.
Soaring Spin Mythic Skill Location
Continue down the passage past the Triumph Sword to find more spike traps. After bypassing them, unlock the golden door ahead using the same method as mentioned previously.
You will reach the starting area with the giant statue. Take the ladder up, and you will encounter two chests that you can unlock and get items like Coins, Jade Fish, and more.
You will also find another ladder here that will take you to the roof above the giant statue. Get on top of the roof, then gently glide down to land on top of the statue.
Right across the statue’s head is a chest. Use Celestial Seize to collect the chest and unlock the Soaring Spin Mythic Skill.
Wingfall Spear Location
Once done, jump down to the main area and head left this time. Pass the spike traps by using Meridian Touch to immobilize them.
Continue down the passage and unlock the golden door. Collect the Wingfall Spear inside the room, then continue forward.
Rampage Spear Location
You will encounter another circular room with spike traps below. Again, navigate across the platforms to the side by jumping across until you reach a ledge with a chest.
Jump one platform above the chest to find a passage. Collect the Rampage Spear here, then proceed through the rest of the area. Avoid the spike traps here by using Meridian Touch. You will soon reach the main hall again.
