My initial thoughts about Mercyheart Town were that it was going to be just like every other town in Where Winds Meet, but boy, was I wrong. What caught my eye initially were the fields of wild indigo flowers surrounding this eerie village. While it looked mesmerizing during the day, at night, it held a deeper and darker story.
As I walked among the flowers, trying to find someone to talk to, all I could see was despair and desperation in the eyes of the villagers as they quietly bent over and tended these blue-hued plants. Little did I know that they needed something more than an ear to listen to their problems; they needed help.
My quests here ended up with me fetching medicine to save a life, finding a letter lost and half-burned, and picking up a cursed doll. Which eventually gained me the trust of the people of Mercyheart, as they let me in on their best-kept secrets.
Secrets that led me to the locations of each Wandering Tale in Mercyheart. Typically, these are tricky to find, but with this guide, you’ll be able to find them in no time at all.
All Mercyheart Town Wandering Tales Location in Where Winds Meet
To start any Wandering Tale, you need to find the required clue to trigger the quest.
It can be difficult to do in a place like Mercyheart Town, but luckily, you can unlock most of them by speaking to various NPCs or uncovering hidden items.
These quests are not time-sensitive, so you get to visit this location anytime and complete any Wandering Tale you might have missed. Let’s take a look at all six quests and how to complete them one by one below.
The Third Buddha Light Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
You will have to head over to Bodhi Sea in Sundara Land and make your way to the house with the large Buddha statue inside. You will find the house beside the large gong. At the foot of the statue is a Lost Old Ledger.
Retrieve it, then make your way to Mercyheart Town. Change the time to around Hai hour and travel a bit northwards of the village. Speak to Yang Yixian and hand over the ledger to complete the quest and get the following rewards:

The Eternal Flames of Karma Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
From the Mercyheart Town waypoint, change the time to Zi hour and head a bit north. Between the two houses, look around for Granny Yang Shan. After ending your conversation with her, head north between Mercyheart Monastery and Thousand Buddha Vale.
To the west of the golden chest here, investigate the floor in front of the broken steps to get the Half Burned Family Letter. Return to Granny Yang Shan and hand over the letter to complete the quest.

The Elixir Theft Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
Make your way north across the stream passing through Mercyheart Town and enter the house on the left. Speak to Xie Ciniang, leaning over Pan Pinxuan. Next, head a bit northeast of the Mercyheart Town waypoint and enter the cave to the east.
Past the Golden Gate, look to your right to find large pots of water. Investigate the area near the pots to collect a lost medicine bag. Retrieve the bag, then return to Xie Ciniang to get the following rewards for your trouble.

The Broken Buddha Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
Head northwest from the Mercyheart Town waypoint towards the large sleeping statue and pick up the Cursed Doll near the base. Next, head southeast of the Mercyheart Monastery waypoint and change the time to Wu hour. You will find several stone statues at the end of the road, and near it is Yang the Youngest.
Hand over the cursed doll, but he will refuse to accept it, saying it belongs to someone else. Change the time to Hai hour. Get across the river and go south. Find the Buddha Flower Emissary and hand over the cursed doll, thus completing the quest.

The Crossed Out Name Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
Around the Mercyheart Town waypoint, find and speak to Yang Daoimin. After that, get across the river towards the northern section of the town. Seek out the house near the river and head inside. Investigate the bookshelf to find the Yang Clan Genealogy. Return to Yang Daoimin to complete the quest.

Heart of a Father Wandering Tale Guide: Where Winds Meet
Head over to Mercyheart Monastery waypoint and change the time to You hour. Make your way towards the statues southeast of the waypoint, where you encountered Yang the Youngest from the Broken Buddha Wandering Tale. You will spot Pan Faxin here, too.
Speak to both of them, then make your way to the Floral Expanse Beyond waypoint at Sundara Land. Investigate the boulders to the west of the waypoint to collect the New Buddha Statue. Return the statue to Pan Faxin to complete the quest.
