After you are done exploring the starting area of Ashenfall, you have to venture out further to find new areas and farm new resources. But things can get difficult rather quickly, so its best to keep upgrading your gear or finding new, powerful ones. Sometimes, some quests will lead you to a new weapon, and such is the case with the Staff of Light Masterwork. Here’s how to get this weapon in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
The Staff Of Light Masterwork In RuneScape Dragonwilds
The Staff of Light Masterwork currently cannot be crafted as the game is in Early Access. You can, however, unlock the recipe and keep all crafting materials ready when this item is opened up by the developers for crafting. Here is how to go about it.
Highlighting The Problem Quest Guide RuneScape Dragonwilds
You obtain the Staff of Light after completing the ‘Highlighting the Problem’ side quest. To start this quest, first make your way to the northwestern vault in Bramblemead Valley. Once inside, get to the location pictured below, and jump your way up to the platform on top. There is a statue inside this room, and interacting with it starts the Highlighting the Problem quest.
Take note of the strange word that is mentioned at the end of the sentence uttered by the statue. Then, start the Search the Runecrafting Guild for a Statue objective. The Guild is located west of the vault that you explored, and there is an image of a castle on the map for reference. Check the central courtyard of the guild building to find a statue of a wizard. Interact with the statue and you will be asked a question followed by three options.
If you had paid attention to what the statue at the vault has said, then you should pick the right answer, which is Pthentorok. The statue will move aside and you can pick up the crystal orb, which you need to charge up. There are three metal rods on top of the three towers around the Guild building, use Wind Step to get up there and charge up the orb. Once done, return to the wizard statue and you will receive the recipe for the Staff of Light and conclude the side quest.
How to Craft Staff of Light
You can find the Staff of Light recipe under Recipes > Masterwork. Something that you must note is that the Staff of Light is currently non-craftable and might be implemented in a later update. Nevertheless, you can still farm the required crafting materials so you can ready yourself for when you can craft this weapon. You will require the following materials:
- 16x Blightwood
- 8x Wild Anima
- 4x Sapphire
- 12x Vault Shards
- 1x Vault Core
