RuneScape Dragonwild features some robust survival mechanics to make the game more engaging. The progress system behind the Woodcutting level is generous to allow the player to reach the highest rank once they get to Level 4 on the Woodcutting Skill tree. In this guide, we will take a look at the best way to level up Woodcutting in RuneScape Dragonwild Fast.

Best Way To Quickly Level Up Woodcutting In RuneScape Dragonwilds

Each level will reduce the Woodcutting stamina cost by 1%. The whole Woodcutting skill tree offers 49 Levels. While you will have an easier time leveling up the Woodcutting skill tree later as you unlock the Splinter skill at Level 27, the initial stage will require a bit more effort. Here are things you need to focus on to level up Woodcutting in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

    • Unlock Overhead Chop at Level 4 of Woodcutting.
    • Unlock Axtral Projection at Level 11 of Woodcutting.

These abilities are part of the Woodcutting skill tree but are locked behind a specific level on the tree. You must unlock each of them to gain a significant amount of Woodcutting experience in the game.

    Unlock Overhead Chop

You will unlock Overhead Chop once you get to Level 4. Once unlocked, the Overhead Chop skill helps you chop down the trees at a faster rate, although with higher stamina consumption. Still, this works out well for us as it levels up Woodcutting that much faster.

If you are starting out in the Woodcutting Skill tree, the very first step is to grind to Level 4. This can be done by chopping down as many Ash Trees as possible in the game. You will not have any problem finding trees and chopping them down to gather Ash Logs.

Tip: Crafting a Stone Logging Axe will make the process go even faster. You can craft the Stone Logging Axe using Stones x4 and Ash Logs x4.

    Unlock Axtral Projection

You must reach Level 11 on the Woodcutting Skill tree to unlock Axtral Projection.

Now the name of the game will be to chop down trees with the Overhead Chop to make it to Level 11. Cutting down 5 or 6 trees will easily net you the EXP amount to reach Level 11. Here you will unlock Axtral Projection, which offers a spell to chop down the tree instantly.

Unlike normal Chopping or Overhead Chopping, using Axtral Projection spells will require resources. You will need to invest “Air Runes x10 and Astral x5 “every time you cast this spell. The skill will also have a 45-second cooldown attached to it. When the skill is on cooldown, use regular chopping to cut.

Note: You can craft Air Runes and Astral via the Rune Altar (Stone x12/ Rune Essence). While stones can be gathered by searching the ground, Rune Essence needs to be mined near Rune sites.

Helpful Tips For Leveling Up Woodcutting Faster

    • When the Stamina bar runs out, use the Axtral Projection. This will make up for proper stamina management.
    • Don’t leave out Tree Stumps; chopping them down will grant some more EXP.
    • You can use the Axtral projection spell to chain-cut several trees. Covering many trees under the spell will grant more instant cut, which will lead to more EXP gain.
    • Consume foods and potions to make the process faster. The game also offers food to restore Stamina quicker.

As you progress in the game, don’t forget to collect Blightwood and craft the Iron Pickaxe. Check our guide on how to go about doing that in detail.
