Reanimal – How to Steal the Crown (Long Live the King Trophy)

Reanimal is a great game for completionists as it’s extremely short but has a ton of achievements to unlock. Some trophies are unlocked by simply progressing the game, but others require you to go out of your way to unlock them.

One trophy that can’t be unlocked through progression is the Long Live the King trophy, which involves stealing the crown from the leader of the Spider Kids. This can be pretty tricky, and failing to do it on the first attempt, will result in you having to start from the last checkpoint.

If you’re having trouble stealing the crown from the leader of the spider kids, this guide has everything you need to know. Here’s how to unlock the Long Live the King trophy in Reanimal.

The Long Live the King achievement for Reanimal requires you to steal the crown from the leader of the Spider Kids. There is only one moment throughout the entire game that you can accomplish this and that’s during the No Shelter chapter that takes place in the Clock Tower.

After climbing through the hole in the giant clock of the tower, you will reach a gutter leading to a room filled with Spider Kids. They are all surrounded a stack of boxes, and on top of the boxes is a kid with a crown on his head. This is the leader of the Spider Kids.

Since the leader is high up, you can’t just run up to him and take the crown. Instead, you need to catch and kill him before he escapes.

The best way to go about this is to start fighting the Spider Kids with your companion and keep your eyes on the King while doing so. Eventually, you will see the King start to make his way down the boxes.

This is where you need to be quick since the King will try to make his escape in the back corner of the room. Behind the boxes is a hole in a wall, and he will try to make his escape through there. If you’re quick enough, you’ll see him crawling quickly toward the hole.

It can be tricky to see him, so I highly recommend turning your brightness up for this part.

Forget about the other Spider Kids and sprint after the King as fast as possible, and whack him a couple times with your crowbar. Doing so will kill him, making him drop the crown, officially earning you the Long Live the King trophy in Reanimal.
