During the No Shelter chapter in Reanimal, after fighting through waves of evil sand children, players will enter an attic filled with dressers and sand sculptures of humans. At the end of the attic is a floor hatch that players can open to progress further, but unfortunately, it’s locked and requires a key.
Finding the key to the floor hatch can be tricky since the game places it in an inconspicuous spot, making it easy to miss. I spent over an hour looking for this key, just for it to be right under my nose the entire time.
If you’re having trouble locating this key, this guide has you covered with the solution. Here’s how to find the attic floor hatch key in Reanimal.
Attic Floor Hatch Key Location

If you look around the attic, you will notice that there are tons of sand sculptures that look like children. The key is actually located right in front of one of these sand sculptures, on the right side of the screen. Find the couch with a sand sculpture sitting on it, and the key is located on the ground in front of the couch.
When you encounter the locked floor hatch in the attic, your first instinct would be to think to yourself that it’s time to backtrack and look for the key. This is what I did, but as it turns out, I was completely wrong, and the key is indeed located in the same room as the floor hatch.
The image below shows you exactly where the attic floor hatch key is located.

Keep in mind that once you grab the key, the sand sculpture of the child on the couch will get up and attack you. This is a pretty big jump scare, but you can easily kill the enemy with a couple swings of your crowbar.
Also, I recommend keeping your lighter to make it easier to spot the key. Shining your light on the key will highlight it, so make sure to turn your lighter on if you’re having trouble locating it. I made the mistake of not having my lighter on, making me completely miss the key due to how dark the room is.
With the key now in your possession, you can go ahead and open the attic floor hatch of the Clock Tower. Don’t feel the need to explore the attic any further as there are no hidden items or collectibles to be found here.
