    How to Increase Research Level

Visit Mable at the southernmost section of Lumiose City to get her side quests. Her requests involve catching or evolving certain Pokémon, surveying zones, filling up your Pokedex, or even completing smaller tasks. As you progress through the story, you will randomly receive any of the following requests to complete.

    • Filling Your Pokedex by registering the required Pokémon in your Pokedex, either by capturing or evolving.
    • Mega Evolve certain Pokémon using Mega Stones and add them to the Pokedex.
    • Capturing Pokémon with the required type.
    • Registering Wild Zone Pokémon (check here for all Wild Zone 2, and Wild Zone 3 Pokémon)
    • Evolving Pokémon through any evolution method.
    • Evolving Pokémon using items or Evolution stones.
    • Evolving Pokémon using Link Trade
    • Relax with your Pokémon at any required cafe.
    • Sit with your Pokémon on any bench
    • Defeating and winning Pokémon battles using any battle tactic.
    • Destroying Mega Crystal using any Pokémon attacks.

These requests unlock as you keep playing the game, so there isn’t any fixed order to get the side quests. Each time you successfully complete a request, your research rank goes up. Once you reach the required research level, visit Mable to get your reward.
