Some quests in Oblivion Remastered will require your expertise to get through the level. Sometimes, you have to sneak past to get to certain objectives, and it can prove quite challenging to do so. While trying to complete the Bad Medicine quest, you need to sneak into Fort Sutch and switch out the medicine in the medicine cabinet with poison. This guide will show you how to complete this objective successfully in Oblivion Remastered.
Bad Medicine Quest: Best Way To Sneak In Fort Sutch

After picking up the quest from Ocheeva from the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, head north of Anvil to find Fort Sutch. Before you leave, speak to Teinaava to get a hint on which is the best possible route to reach the medicine cabinet. There is a secret passage southeast of the fort that will lead you straight inside the fort. The exact location where you need to go is marked above. Lockpick the hatch on the floor, then enter the passage and make your way by following the pathway.

Be careful once you emerge from the depths, as you will meet a guard on patrol. It is best to try and kill the guard or pickpocket while their back is turned towards you to collect a key from their body. This key will lead you to unlocking the upper level gates in the western section of the fort, after which you can directly head towards the medicine cabinet undetected. Keep heading up the stairs northeast and east till you reach the cabinet in the northwest. If you have the Invisibility spell, use it before heading upstairs so you can avoid detection from two nearby NPCs.
After switching out the medicine in the cabinet to poison, to get out of the fort, just retrace your steps. If you hadn’t killed the guard from earlier, she will be standing still nearby, so you can sneak past her without alerting her. Return to Ocheeva to get your rewards, which are +1 Infamy, gold depending on your level, and The Deceiver’s Finery outfit. This outfit can help fortify Personality and Speechcraft when worn.
