In Oblivion Remastered, you might end up picking up a quest that is a bit difficult to follow. After talking to Martin at the Cloud Ruler Temple in Bruma, he will require four items to open a portal to Paradise and stop the Mythic Dawn’s attack. One of the items required for this is the Great Welkynd Stone, which can be found deep within the ruins of Miscarcand. This guide will explain how to find the Great Welkynd Stone in Oblivion Remastered.

You have to explore the Miscarcand ruins thoroughly to locate the Great Welkynd Stone. There are two gates that will block your path to the stone, and you need to find two stone blocks and activate them to unlock these gates. Each block can be found within the respective zones of the ruins, and we will detail where to find them below.

    • For the first one, you have to make your way to the northwest side of Zone 1: Miscarcand.
    • From the entrance, head south then take the western passage, then go south again once you reach the dead end.
    • Keep a lookout to the west to find a passage, you might have to jump down the ledge to find it.
    • Take this route and it will lead you north to where the block is.
    • After pushing the block, head up the stairs to the north and follow the passage east.
    • Go down all the way south to find the door to Miscarcand, Sel Vanua (Zone 2).

    • You will start at the western section of the map, and you need to navigate all the way south to find the second block to push.
    • There are two ways to get here either through the north or south, but the northern path is blocked by an iron gate that has to be unlocked remotely.
    • So head south then east to find yourself in a large room. You can then enter through any of the doorways down south to reach the block and activate it.
    • Make your way all the way up north after pushing the block to enter Miscarcand, Morimath (Zone 3).

    • Now that you are in the final zone, you have to make your way to the central area to pick up the Great Welkynd Stone.
    • Head north, then east, then north again till you reach the end, then go west and south to find the large area.
    • Pick up the stone, then defeat the King of Miscarcand that will spawn after you do that.
    • Loot its corpse for the Miscarcand Key, then head west to reach a door. Use the key from the boss on the door to unlock it.
    • Keep following the path to exit this zone and get to the first zone leading to the exit.
