Nioh 3 has a ton of content to complete, potentially taking around 100 hours to do everything it has to offer. While the main quest is the most important, there are some side quests that are worth completing to earn valuable rewards.
One important side quest is the Value of Perfection quest, given by Matsunaga Hisahide at the Teahouse in the Eternal Rift. During this quest, you are asked to find a variety of bowls for Matsunaga, and while there are many to be found, there’s one specific bowl he wants.

How to Complete Value of Perfection in Nioh 3
After defeating the Great Tengu boss and speaking to Matsunaga Hisahide at the Teahouse, he will ask you to find a very valuable bowl for him. This begins the Value of Perfection side quest in Nioh 3, and unfortunately, the game doesn’t give you any clear waypoint on where to go.
While the game does give you a general area to search for the Value of Perfection quest, it’s absolutely massive and takes a long time to search all of it. You can find many bowls within the search area, but the one that Matsunaga really wants is the “Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl.”
The Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl can be found in the Nishiichi region, located on the western side of the Heian map. The image attached shows the exact location of the Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl in Nioh 3.
Once you reach this location, you can find the Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl right next to the broken bridge on a corpse. It can be hard to see due to boxes blocking the corpse, but just destroy them with your weapon to reveal it.
Keep in mind that if you find other bowls during this quest and bring it back to Matsunaga, he will thank you, but won’t be satisfied, and the quest will continue. The absolutely only way to complete this quest is to bring him the Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl.
The Value of Perfection Quest Rewards
After acquiring the Gorgeous Celadon Tea Bowl and returning it to Matsunaga at the Teahouse in the Eternal Rift, you will be generously rewarded for your efforts.
Players will earn the following rewards for completing the Value of Perfection quest in Nioh 3:

- Fudo Kuniyuki & Yagen Toshiro weapon
- Malefactor’s Waistguard
- Smithing Text: Fudo Kuniyuku & Yagen Toshiro
- Flawless Celadon Tea Bowl
As you can see, you will earn a valuable weapon and waistguard for offensive and defensive purposes, Ninja’s Locks to unlock more Ninjutsu skills, and a smithing text that will allow you to craft Fudo Kuniyuku & Yagen Toshiro at the Blacksmith.
Additionally, you will earn the Celadon Tea Bowl, which is a very valuable item that you can sell to the merchant at Eternal Rift for over 3,000 Gold.
