Nioh 3 has a unique system where players can roll for specific weapons and hope to get a high-tiered version, such as Exotic. This feature is called “Masterpieces” and it found at the Teahouse in Eternal Rift. Using Masterpieces can make a major difference in how well your build turns out.
While players can spend Glory to purchase Masterpieces, Valor Records increase the chances of rolling a higher-level weapon. The more Valor Records that you use on a roll, the better your chances are at getting an Exotic.
However, the game doesn’t go into much detail about Valor Records and leaves it to the player to figure it out. No need to worry, this guide explains how to get Valor Records in Nioh 3.

How to Get Valor Records in Nioh 3

In order to get Valor Records in Nioh 3, players must be online and participate in the Become a Visitor or Expedition co-op options.
Become a Visitor allows you to enter another player’s game and help out with their missions and defeat bosses. Meanwhile, Expeditions allow you to explore the world with another player and complete missions together
By completing a session of one of these co-op options, you will be rewarded with Valor Records, allowing you to use them for Masterpieces at the Teahouse.
Unfortunately, there’s no other way to acquire Valor Records in Nioh 3. In other words, if you can’t play online, then you won’t be able to use Valor Records for the time being. You can still utilize Masterpieces though in exchange for Glory.
Valor Records Explained

Valor Records can be used to increase your chances of pulling an Exotic-level Masterpiece at the Teahouse. However, just because you use a Valor Record, doesn’t mean that you’ll pull anything good. In fact, when I used one, I pulled a common weapon that was of no use to me.
The more Valor Records you use on a pull, the higher the chance it is that you’ll pull something great. The game even gives you a percentage in the Masterpiece menu when adding Valor Records, giving you an idea of your chances.
Players can find the Masterpiece feature under the second tab in the “Trade” menu of the Teahouse. Players can pull from any weapon type as long as they have the correct amount of Glory to spend.
