Elden Ring: Nightreign is the latest expansion to FromSoftware’s acclaimed title. Duchess’s Remembrance is a quest where, in Chapter 5, you’re asked to find Wylder. His location isn’t marked and can be easy to miss, which might lead to some confusion.
With that in mind, this article will serve as a guide to help you locate Wylder during the Duchess’s Remembrance quest in Elden Ring: Nightreign.
Wylder Location In Duchess’s Remembrance Quest

You can locate Wylder just outside the west wing near the garden area of the Roundtable Hold.
Here is a step-by-step guide to begin your search and find him with ease:
- Start at the western dining room, a spot you may recognize as the place where the character Raider is sometimes seen drinking.
- From there, head directly west out onto the grassy area.
- Once you’re outside, head right towards the north and walk forward a bit.
- You’ll find Wylder sitting quietly next to a broken section of stone wall, which is propped against the outside of the Roundtable’s main structure.

Before heading outside, it’s a good idea to interact with the plate on the eastern serving table inside the dining room. Doing so will trigger a message that says, “A rich aroma drifts from somewhere.” This is a subtle hint pointing you toward Wylder’s location.
If you leave and return later, the message changes slightly to say “A rich aroma drifts from somewhere nearby,” further narrowing your search.
When you find Wylder, you’ll see him resting peacefully after what appears to have been a humble meal of homemade pita bread. Initially, he won’t say anything. To progress the scene:
- Approach the bread on the ground and interact with it.
- You’ll be given a choice to “Eat” or not. Selecting “Eat” will trigger a reaction from Wylder.
- He’ll reminisce about his past, mentioning that the taste reminded him of home and the family he still remembers, adding a poignant human touch to the quest.
Once this encounter is complete, your next step is to return to the Iron Menial, who remains marked with a quest icon somewhere in the Roundtable Hold. Speaking to them reveals additional information about Wylder, but to avoid spoilers, the guide leaves this part for players to discover on their own.
