RV There Yet is a multiplayer game where you need to work as a team to pull your RV out of the wilderness. At max, you get the help of 4 players, including yourself. Things get difficult rather quickly, especially when you need some extra hands to keep your RV intact. The only way to get more friends to join you is by using mods, and we will explain the steps to do so below.
How to Increase Player Count in RV There Yet?
The only way to include more players in your lobby is to use mods or tweak game files. If you are the host, then there are a few steps to follow that help increase the lobby size. After downloading and installing the game on your PC, follow the steps below to increase player count.
Using Mods
- Download the MoreRVers mod from the site.
- You will also require the Unreal Engine experimental support, so download that too.
- Find the UE4SS zip file in your download destination and install it to the following directory: <Steam>\steamapps\common\Ride\Ride\Binaries\Win64\
- After adding the UE4SS files, unzip and install the MoreRVers mods into the same file pathway. The file location should look something like this: <Steam>\steamapps\common\Ride\Ride\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\MoreRVers\
- Next, head into the MoreRVers folder and edit the ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt. Open the file via Notepad and add this line MoreRVers : 1 before the Keybinds line.
- Scroll down to find the config.ini command line and add the MaxPlayers = [insert number of players] just below it.
- Currently, at max, you get to add 24 players using the mod. But, it is recommended to keep it to an 8-player count to avoid crashing and lag.
- Save the file, then restart your system for the changes to take place. Launch the game and start adding friends to see if the lobby size has increased.
Changing Game Config File
- First, ensure that the game is not running in the background.
- Then, create or locate the following config file: %localappdata%\Ride\Saved\Config\Windows\Game.ini
- Locate and open the config file using Notepad, then add the following lines:
- [/script/engine.gamesession]
- MaxPlayers=5
- Save the file and restart your system. Launch the game right after to see if the effects have taken place.
- If you face any issues, go back to the config file and erase the two lines, then save the file and reload.
Should You Increase Lobby Size for RV There Yet?
Since the game is specifically designed for 4 players, you should expect functionality issues while playing. While some players won’t find any problems, you can’t rule out the possibility of game crashes, lags, and other issues, especially if the game isn’t optimized for high player counts. Ultimately, the choice of increasing lobby size to accommodate more players depends on the host.
