But there are ways you can cut the time for grinding by half, by following a perfect route to the item, raising your chances of finding the item a lot, add many tweaks to the route and game, you are on your way to getting the item at a much faster rate than on your normal run. Here is the guide to keep on the best route to farm all the Monkey-Head Fungus in Black Myth Wukong quickly.
Where To Find Monkey-Head Fungus In Black Myth Wukong?
Monkey-Head Fungus is a Rare Ingredient that drops from Fungiwoman or Snake-Head Mushroom.
Location #1 Court of illumination
- Travel to the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine under the Temple of Yellow Flowers. Turn around, go down the stairs, and pass the two Staff Daoists with yellow robes guarding the stairs.
- Then take the route on the left, pass the giant doorway, and continue moving forward.
- Several stairs later, you will reach a dead end with a giant tree blocking your path, here take the stairs on the left to reach the upper ledge. Here the route will branch out to two sides, left and right, we will find our prize on the right turn.
- Then head straight to an open area.
That’s it. here you will find 2x Snake Head Mushrooms, there are two of them, one on the right will spawn the Fungiwoman, and defeating her will reward us with Monkey Head Fungus.

Location #2 Lower Pagoda
Here is another location where we will get our hands on quite a good amount of Snake-head Mushrooms.
1st Snake Head Mushroom Location:
- Travel to Lower Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine, and go through the gate next to the shrine. You will immediately find a Snake Head Mushroom.
2nd Snake Head Mushroom Location:
- Keep heading straight from the first spot, you will find another Snake Head Mushroom.
3rd Snake Head Mushroom Location:
- Take the route straight from the second Snake Head Mushroom spot until the route branches out to two different ways, here take the route on the right. Start moving along the path and then enter the first steel door on the left. You will find the 3rd location for Snake Head Mushroom right next to the stairs.
Note: The 3rd Location is a guaranteed drop for Monkey-Head as it will spawn Fungiwoman.
4th Snake Head Mushroom location:
- From the Third location, take the stairs on the left (where we found our 3rd Snake-Head Mushroom). You will find our 4th Snake-Head Mushroom to our right by the steel bar.
Location #3 Estate of the Zhu
If you ever grind for Fragrant Jade Flower Seeds in Black Myth Wukong, then you will be much more familiar with the Estate of the Zhu than your real-life neighborhood.
1st Snake Head Mushroom Location:
Travel down to the Estate of the Zhu under the Village of Lanxi. Take the route right of the shrine, and go down the slope. You will find Snake Head Mushroom by the tree to your left right across the building.
2nd Snake Head Mushroom Location:
From the first Snake Head location, move to your right, and go to the left side of the building we passed earlier. Break the wooden barricade to get our hands on the second Snake Head Mushroom.
Note: This location is a guaranteed Fungiwoman spawn area.
3rd Snake Head Mushroom Location:
From the 2nd location, move towards the house on the right, and go through the narrow hallway to the other side. Here you will see a Wooden Beam of Lamps to your right, our landmark.
Once you reach the spot, take a left turn, and pass the house, you will find the 3rd Snake Head Mushroom here next to the tree.
Note: This location also serves as a guaranteed Fungiwoman spawn.
While there are better spots for the snake head mushroom, the locations mentioned above are some of the best spots for farming.
