In MIO: Memories in Orbit, bosses have a pretty steady difficulty curve trending up, and by the time you reach the Bell Tower and Haven, you’ll be up against it, big time.
Your next boss will likely be Crow: Automated Reaper, a fast and ferocious bot that will strike you down if your reaction times aren’t as sharp as their claws.
But we are here to help by offering some advice on how to clip this bird’s wings and come out the other side the victor.

Where Is Crow In MIO – Memories in Orbit

To access Crow’s boss arena, you will need to access the doorway to the right of the first Nexus save point. This can be done by finding the hidden Silo Key located above Mel’s Workshop. You can access this by using the elevator to leap over, or you can wait until you have unlocked the Hairpin.
This door will allow you to access The Bell Tower and Haven. You will need Hairpin to access Crow’s boss arena. Head to the area marked on the map above, and use Hairpin to grapple up to where they are waiting.
How to Prepare

Crow is a very fast and deadly boss with a lot of moves that are very hard to avoid. So I would suggest that you equip mods that will help you deal damage fast, and protect yourself.
I would recommend that you have at least one full health upgrade by finding 4x Coating Components. Plus, I would equip Protective Overlay for good measure.
I would also suggest players purchase as many modifier upgrades as possible. That being two. As this will grant you 45 allocation matrix points. I would suggest you use it to equip something like Defense Mechanism or Kinetic Thrust, to deal added damage.
Then lastly, be sure to find the first keeper of the game in Dwellings for an added boost to your damage output. The location of which is mapped out in this Acat boss guide.
How To Beat Crow

Now comes the hard part. Killing the damn thing. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed in this fight. So, here’s a cheat sheet explaining every move the have in their arsenal:
- Two Strike: Crow will stab directly in front of them, and then follow up with a wide swing forward. Best counter is to spot the stab direction early and get on the opposite side of Crow.
- Downward Strike: A very straightforward and telegraphed downward stab. Easily avoided by moving to either side.
- Triple Projectile Attack: Crow will teleport to the opposite side of the room and toss three projectiles at the player. These are easily avoided as long as you stay grounded and watch their flight path. Usually best to just run straight at Crow.
- Sweeping Attack: Easily the hardest attack to avoid, and it will depend a lot on where you are positioned if you can get out of the way. Crow will start on the top corner of one side of the room and perform a U-shaped sweep to the other. If you’re central, you Hairpin to rise above the lowest point of the attack. Or if you’re right on the edge, hug the wall to avoid the attack.
These are all the attacks you will face, but we have some other helpful tips and tidbits to mention.

Firstly, when the boss hits 50% health, they will trigger waterfalls on either side of the room, tightening the space. When this happens, you’ll want to rely on Hairpin a little more to get out of Crow’s way.
They will also speed up slightly during this phase, so try to make each cooldown moment count as much as possible, getting a 3-strike-combo in consistently.
Then, thirdly, if you’re sitting pretty with no hits taken when the boss is at 25% HP or less. I would personally suggest just going ham, caution to the wind to get it done fast. Because if they happen to do several sweep attacks in quick succession, you could be toast.
Rewards For Defeating Crow
The reward for Defeating Crow is access to a nearby room where you will be granted a new ability. When you strike something when in middair, like say, a purple flower, you’ll gain your energy back. Meaning you’ll be able to grapple to new areas.
I would suggest heading up the Bell Tower with this newfound ability, or heading to Metropolis so you can go deeper.
