Where to find Mechanical Components in ARC Raiders
There are two main ways to obtain Mechanical Components: by looting them in mechanical fields or crafting them in your base via the Refinery. The mechanical fields are scattered across maps. If you are near one, be sure to loot as many boxes or lockers as possible to obtain Mechanical Components. Try farming Bastions as well for Mechanical Components and other loot.
Alternatively, you can set up a Refinery in your home base of Speranza. But to get Mechanical Components, you need to loot Metal Parts and Steel Springs. Then you can obtain one Mechanical Component in ten minutes by using 15 Metal Parts and 3 Steel Springs.
The third way is you can recycle items like motors and rusted metal gears to get Mechanical Components. However, this method of getting them does not create new ones, but it is just deconstructing the forged items to get a resource. However, be careful when deciding to recycle or sell items in ARC Raiders.
How To Use Mechanical Components in ARC Raiders
Any item that has a Mechanical or Gear component will require Mechanical Components to upgrade it. One of the frequent things you’ll upgrade are stations like the Workbench and your weapons. To check if your item requires Mechanical Components, follow the steps below:
- Hover over the item you want to craft or upgrade
- In the required materials section, check how many Mechanical Components you’ll need
Looking at how vital these Mechanical Components are, you should try to keep them stashed in your inventory always. Try to loot during your missions as frequently as possible.
