Marvel Rivals: How To Find & Talk To Bats The Ghost Dog

Marvel Rivals has finally introduced an all new Season 1, where you encounter new heroes, new maps, and also try your hand at getting new achievements. Most of the achievements you can claim in Season 1 are pretty easy to figure out, so you can get them in no time. But there is one particularly difficult achievement that is hard to trigger. For this, you need to find and talk to the specter of Bats, but you need to meet the required prerequisites for the achievement first. In this guide we show you how you can claim A Hounding Conversation achievement in Marvel Rivals.

To locate Bats the Ghost Dog, first load into the Doom Match game mode and pick the Sanctum Sanctorum map. Once the map is loaded, head over to the foyer, right to the large flight of stairs leading up. You will spot a small dog bed beside the staircase, and the spirit of a basset hound resting on it. Sometimes you might find him floating around the foyer too, so you just need to go close to him and interact with him to cross out this achievement.

Now comes the hard part, you cannot talk to Bats unless you are the right character. Bats will only talk to Squirrel Girl and Spider-Man for now, so before you load into a match, you must pick any of these heroes to get the achievement. After that, just go up to Bats and the dog will automatically strike up a conversation with you. Other heroes who get close to him will not find any conversations, but with Squirrel Girl or Spider-Man, Bats will automatically start talking if you get close to him.

Once you head back to the lobby after the match is done, you will unlock the Hounding Conversation achievement. But, you need to stay on your toes while trying to complete this particular achievement, especially if the match is exceptionally busy. It will take a few seconds to complete your interaction with Bats, so have an ally on standby to keep watch while you talk to the ghost dog. In case you had accidentally loaded into the match as another hero, you can always respawn and hope to get either Squirrel Girl or Spider-Man to complete the achievement.

Who Is Bats, The Ghost Dog?

Bats might seem like the newest addition in Marvel Rivals, but he was once Stephen Strange’s adopted pet basset hound during a time when Doctor Strange was a veterinarian. Bat’s ability to speak came from the translation spell Stephen cast on him. After Bat’s tragic demise in battle, Loki decided to return the dog to Stephen in the form of a specter, thus continuing the adventures of Bats the Ghost Dog. If you check around the Sanctum Sanctorum map, you can find a few pictures of Stephen with Bats hanging on the walls.

Marvel Rivals does offer a lot more achievements that you can fill up and show off, and we have guides covering a couple of them like the The King Of The Dead, Mind Palace, and Knowledge Of Sin achievements.
