Limbus Company – Is Lifetime Stew Don Quixote Uptie 5 Worth It?

We’ve got another addition to the list of Season 1 EGOS that are getting a spit shine. Lifetime Stew Don Quixote is the target today, an EGO with absolutely zero practical use cases. Is Threadspinning 5 enough to bring this EGO to life in Limbus Company? Here’s everything we know to answer this question.

Comparing Lifetime Stew Don Quixote Uptie 4 and Uptie 5

As a Teth EGO, Uptie 5ing Lifetime Stew will cost a pretty penny, a total of 150 Spinchains. Whether you make these Spinchains with EGO Shards or Thread, you’ll be dipping into your supplies. Uptie 5 adds a lot, the only question is whether or not it’s enough to justify the cost.

At Uptie 4, Lifetime Stew is a single-coin Lust Blunt Skill with Base Power 21 and Coin Power 4. With no conditionals baked into the EGO, Lifetime Stew has no way of enhancing its own Clash Power, making it very make-or-break. Either the enemy can beat a 25, or they can’t.

Before the attack goes off, the EGO gains damage based on the Lust EGO resources owned, up to 50%. On hit, the coin inflicts +3 Burn Count.

A rather lackluster hit, but its passive at least gives it a niche in Bleed. The passive, Cauldron of Gorging, converts EGO resources at a rate of 2 non-Lust resources to 1 Lust resource at turn start.

While slow, this helps Bleed teams fuel some of their more expensive EGOs, especially tools like Yearning Mircalla and Sanguine Desire. The slow rate and loss of 1 EGO resource make it only so strong, something the Uptie 5 hopes to amplify.

Juicing Lifetime Stew Don Quixote to Uptie 5 amplifies both the initial attack and the Cauldron of Gorging passive heavily. The EGO is still a single-coin Lust Blunt Skill with Base Power 21 and Coin Power 4, only now it gains +1 Final Power for every 4 Burn + Bleed on the main target, up to 3.

Before the attack goes off, Don sets up 1 Lust Power Up for allies on the next turn, in order based on the deployment order for every 6 Lust EGO resources. Additionally, the attack gains +6% bonus damage for every 1 Lust EGO resource owned, up to 120%.

When the coin lands, Don inflicts 3 Burn Count and 3 Blood Count. Already, Lifetime Stew now hits far harder, while amplifying the whole team’s damage if run in a proper Bleed lineup. Now, onto the newly amplified Cauldron of Gorging passive.

At the start of the turn, Don converts 1 non-Lust EGO resource into a Lust EGO resource. If the team has 20 or more Lust EGO resources, Don instead gains 1 Lust Power Up. With the EGO Passive up, Don’s Lust Bask Skills deal extra damage based on the team’s Lust resources owned, up to 10%.

These are huge buffs, supplying Lust EGO resources when needed while buffing Don’s Clashes and damage when full. All in all, a fantastic buff that makes Lifetime Stew much more powerful.

    The Verdict

Lifetime Stew Don Quixote is a super solid addition to a full-Bleed lineup if you already have it. If you’re not rolling in EGO resources, I wouldn’t consider it a priority grab, though. All in all, another success for the Uptie 5 system, turning a niche-at-best tool into a real option.

Make sure you don’t forget about the newest EGO drop, which we covered here! We’ll be looking at the Sinclair variant of Lifetime Stew as well, so keep an eye out!
