Gold Badge Use in Escape from Duckov
The Gold Badge is used to add buffs to certain melee weapons, especially used for the Axe. The Gold Badge is found randomly while scavenging, and it weighs almost 5kg if you keep it in your backpack. You need to exfil with your loot quickly to avoid getting weighed down. To equip the Gold Badge in your melee weapon, select the weapon from your inventory, then drag and drop the badge into the gem slot. This will give the weapon the buffs supplied by the Gold Badge.
The best use for the Gold Badge is to equip it on the Axe melee weapon. You get the Axe drop after defeating the Big Chicken boss in Ground Zero. If you haven’t encountered this boss yet, there are two spawn locations for it. While following the main road from your bunker, keep an eye out for the area below Road Camp, as this is a potential Big Chicken spawn. Another area to check is the northwestern corner of the map, just below Northern Mountain. The boss spawns at just one of the two locations at a time.
