Enshrouded’s new Veilwater Basin Spire offers some unique loot hidden behind some difficult challenges, one of them being the Wand of Bloodflow. If you are looking to get your hands on this wand but don’t know how, keep reading below.
Enshrouded A Lighthouse In Sunless Seas Quest Guide
After unlocking the new Lake Heartblood area, speak to any of the NPCs to get the Lighthouse in Sunless Seas quest. For the quest, you will be tasked with locating and scaling the Veilwater Basin Spire, which is right in the center of Lake Heartblood.
You can get here by heading northwest of the Dragondream Lake and Veilwater Basin Outlook. The Albeneve Summit is the closest fast travel point from here, then head northwest to reach the spire. The spire entrance is underwater, and there are four entrances that will lead you to the inside. Whichever entrance you take, head inside to reach the first floor.
Navigating the Veilwater Basin Ancient Spire
There are four floors that host various challenges and enemies that you need to navigate to get to the chest containing the Wand of Bloodflow. You also need to find buttons to unlock the gates to take you to the next floors. While on the first floor, you will encounter the lightning bolt challenge. Timing is everything here; just wait for the bolt to move across to the opposite side before passing through the area.
The next area will be already unlocked for you, but if its not, find lit up pillars within the area and activate the switches on it. The next room will be filled with moving spikes. Wait for them to disappear before you move ahead. If you encounter Draks, lure them to the spikes so they get impaled. Continue to move east till you find a wall with metal grates that you could use to climb up.
Veilwater Basin Spire Second Floor
You will encounter the fireball challenge, where fireballs will move across the floor. Just time your move right and weave through the gaps. Eventually, you will come across a locked gate and some Draks hanging around. Lure the Draks towards the fireball, or use your weapons instead. Whichever method you take, once they are down, explore the area to find several levers with lights on them.
Solving the puzzle here is simple; take a look at the columns where the levers are placed. If the columns are filled in without any gaps, then activate the levers to keep the lights on. If the columns are hollowed out, keep the lights off here. Enter the newly unlocked door and take the portal to the next floor.
Veilwater Basin Spire Third Floor
In the third area, you need to locate three buttons and activate them to unlock the door.
- From the main area, you will find a metal grate on your right after jumping over the spikes.
- Climb up and navigate across the platforms while avoiding the swinging axes.
- Once you reach the end, jump down to find the first button.
- Next, go left, and you will find the lightning bolt challenge again.
- Navigate to the left side of the room to find the second button.
- Head back out of the lightning bolt room, and you will reach the main area again.
- From there, go the opposite direction to find the third button.
- To find the exit, climb up the metal grate again and make your way to the first button area, but don’t jump down. Rather, swing across towards the newly unlocked doors to reach the final floor.
Veilwater Basin Spire Fourth Floor
Head left to find more lightning bolts zapping around and slowly make your way across. Step on the button on the floor while facing the gate ahead. Use your bow and arrow and shoot through the gap beyond the gate without stepping off the button. You will get a notification that the door is unlocked, so head back to the main area and go upstairs to find the newly unlocked door.
In the new area, you will find a pool of water to dive through and another locked gate. The button to unlock this gate is underwater. Since the dive will be long, consumables like Tomato Fish Soup will help you stay underwater for longer. Also, unlock the Splash Dash ability under the Athletics skill tree to avoid any underwater traps.
Continue to swim down the linear tunnel to find the switch that will unlock the door. Head back up and use the Splash Dash ability to avoid getting caught on the spinning spikes. Once you reach the top, exit the room and head out to the main area to find that the locked gate is now open.
Go inside the room and press the button on the wall, then head back down the pool of water and continue to swim down. Keep an eye out for an unlocked gate underwater; you might have passed by it while looking for the switch. It will now be open, so head inside and make your way up to find a chest. Unlocking the chest will give you the Wand of Bloodflow, which offers the following stats.

Exit the pool and continue up the spire to find the final exit portal, thus completing the Lighthouse In Sunless Seas quest and giving you the Veilwater Basin Stargazer achievement.
