With the new Cultist Lair update in Fisch came new NPCs and quests to complete around the area. One such NPC is the Restless One, located near the central pool of the Cultist Lair. Completing his questline unlocks the ability to purchase an excellent Rod. Here’s how you can complete every quest from the Restless One and purchase the Dreambreaker Rod in Fisch.
How to Complete the Restless One’s Questline in Fisch
To complete the Restless One NPC’s questline in Fisch, you need to retrieve specific items and return them to him. Here’s what you need to do:
- Craft the Dreamers Amulet, then return it to him.
- Catch an Enchant Relic with the Lucid Rod, then return it to him.
- Catch a Speed Core and Cathulid with the Lucid Rod, then return it to him.
- Catch a Cathulid with the Eidolon Rod, then return it to him.
- Catch a Leviathan with the Lucid Rod or the Profane Leviathan during the Leviathan Hunt event, then return it to him.
Completing the entire questline will require commitment, determination, and time, and only then will you unlock the ability to purchase the Dreambreaker Rod in Fisch. Let’s go over each quest step by step below.
Return the Dreamers Amulet to the Restless One
For the first part of the Restless One’s quest, you need to craft the Dreamers Amulet and return it to him in Fisch. Return a Lucid Enchant Relic to the Restless One
For the next part, you need to catch an Enchant Relic with the Lucid Rod and return the Lucid Enchant Relic to the Restless One NPC in Fisch. To craft the Lucid Rod at the Ancient Archives, you need 1x Lunar Thread, 1x Lucid Reel, and 1x Cursed Touch Scrap Metal.
Now, you need to fish with the Lucid Rod and catch an Enchant Relic, which will put a Lucid Mutation on it, thanks to the Fishing Rod’s passives. After obtaining the Lucid Enchant Relic, head back to the Restless One NPC to return it to him in Fisch.
Return a Lucid Speed Core, a Lucid Cathulid & a Phantom Cathulid
For the next part, you need to return three items to the Retless One NPC in Fisch:
- Lucid Speed Core: With the Lucid Rod, fish in the waters near Sunstone Island to catch a Speed Core. The Lucid Rod will put the Lucid Mutation on it, turning it into a Lucid Speed Core.
- Lucid Cathulid: Fish in the pools of the Passage of Oaths or the Hall of Whispers inside the Cultist Lair with the Lucid Rod to catch a Cathulid. Similar to the Speed Core, fishing with the Lucid Rod will put a Lucid Mutation on the Cathulid, transforming it into a Lucid Cathulid.
- Phantom Cathulid: For this, you need the Eidolon Rod, which is obtained by interacting with all the Obelisks in the Cultist Lair and then purchasing it for 5,000,000C$. Then, fish in the pools of the Passage of Oaths or the Hall of Whispers inside the Cultist Lair with the Eidolon Rod to catch a Cathulid. This Fishing Rod has a 35% chance to apply the Phantom Mutation on it, turning it into a Phantom Cathulid.
After collecting all three items, head back to the Restless One NPC and return them to progress to the final objective required for the Dreambreaker Rod in FIsch.
Return a Lucid Leviathan or a Profane Leviathan to the Restless One
To catch a Lucid Leviathan or a Profane Leviathan, you need to summon the Leviathan Hunt event at the Sanctum in Fisch. To trigger the event, you need to catch five fish and then put them on pedestals around the pool at the Sanctum. Here are the fish you need:
- Rainbow Cluster Cathulid: Fish in the pools of the Passage of Oaths or the Hall of Whispers inside the Cultist Lair with the Rainbow Cluster Rod.
- Aurora Cathulid: Perform the same task with the Aurora Rod.
- Nova Cathulid: Do the same using the Rod of the Cosmos.
- Purified Cathulid: Can be obtained by using the Insight Enchantment on Fishing Rods.
- Solarblaze Cathulid: Fish during the Eclipse Weather Event to get the Solarblaze Mutation.
After triggering the Leviathan Hunt event, you’ll have a 10% chance to obtain the Profane Leviathan. However, for your convenience, fish with the Lucid Rod and catch a Leviathan to apply the Lucid Mutation, turning it into a Lucid Leviathan. Once you’ve obtained either the Lucid Leviathan or the Profane Leviathan, return back to the Restless One NPC, and offer it to him.
Collecting every item and returning it will complete the Restless One’s questline in Fisch. After that, interact with him once again, and he’ll offer the Dreambreaker Rod for purchase. You need to be Level 500 or above and have 10,000,000C$ to buy the Rod. So, obtaining this Fishing Rod is really not that simple. - Luck: 215%
- Control: 0.23
- Resilience: 66%

- Mutation: During daytime, the size of the fish is halved, but there is a 25% greater chance to apply a Distraught Mutation to them. Additionally, it offers a 15% bonus progress speed boost during the day. At night, the size of the fish increases by 30%, and the chance to apply the Distraugh Mutation on them is increased by 35%.
