How to Find Heat Capacitor in No Man’s Sky
There is no guaranteed way to find a Heat Capacitor in NMS, but there is a small chance of obtaining it when you open a Cargo Drop. These are the yellow box-shaped containers found commonly around beacons and other structures in No Man’s Sky. These can be found on any type of planet, including Corrupted Planets.
However, I would not recommend even attempting to find these in Cargo Drops, because the chances of a Heat Capacitor dropping in them are very low which makes it more of a luck thing.
How to Get Heat Capacitor Blueprint in No Man’s Sky
To craft Heat Capacitors in NMS, you will first need the blueprint which can be acquired through the following methods:
- It can be obtained as a reward during the final stages of the Scientific Research mission.
- It has a chance to be obtained in Manufacturing Facilities or Operations Centers.
- Can be bought for 250 Nanites at the Synthesis Laboratory in the Space Anomaly.
How to Craft Heat Capacitor in No Man’s Sky
Once you have obtained the blueprint for Heat Capacitor in No Man’s Sky, you can craft it using this recipe below:
- Frost Crystal x100 + Solanium x200 = Heat Capacitor x1
Frost Crystals can be found on Frozen planets by harvesting Frostworts, while Solanium can be found on Desert planets by harvesting Solar Vines. Harvesting Frostworts and Solar Vines will require Haz-Mat Gauntlets.
What is the Heat Capacitor Used For in No Man’s Sky
Heat Capacitors in NMS are used as construction components to progress your Planetary Settlement in No Man’s Sky. But it is also used to craft Circuit Boards which can then be used further to craft Quantum Processors.
You can craft Circuit Boards with the following recipe that requires a Heat Capacitor in No Man’s Sky:
- Heat Capacitor x1 + Poly Fibre x1 = Circuit Board x1
