The very first decision that you have to make in Hollow Knight: Silksong is when you come across a strange bell on your path after you pass the first shop. Here, you need to decide whether to spend 30 Rosaries on the bell or choose to move on in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Yes, you should definitely insert 30 Rosaries when you are given this choice in the game, even if the amount generally might feel huge at first. Spending 30 Rosaries doesn’t sound bad early on in the game, based on the reward you will get for that little amount of money.

    The Choices:

When you interact with the bell, the game will prompt you with Insert Rosaries? with Yes and No as options.

What if you choose ‘Yes’: If you are willing to part with 30 Rosaries, then press Yes. Once you have made your decision, you will gain a free Rest Spot, which serves as a checkpoint in the game.

What if you choose ‘No’? If you want to keep the 30 Rosaries, you are definitely allowed to, but you will lose access to a Rest Spot.

Rosaries act as in-game currency in Hollow Knight: Silksong; spending 30 Rosaries can be a difficult choice since they are pretty rough to get in the early stages. Having a checkpoint early on in the game will save you a lot of time in backtracking, since the last Rest Spot was in the village, having a new one is always a win.

Hollow Knight: Silksong can be a challenging experience, so make sure ot take any help you can get early on in the game, especially if you are new to the Hollow Knight Metrovania gameplay. So spending 30 Rosaries for a checkpoint is the best way to make the early game experience that much more manageable.
