Hollow Knight: Silksong has plenty of hidden collectibles and items that are crucial for more reveals in the game. One such item you will come across early on in the game is the Simple Key. While the details about the item are pretty vague, we have prepared a guide to let you know about the door the Simply Key unlocks in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

How To Get The Simple Key In Silksong

You can buy Simple Key from Pebb at Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. The description for the key reads: “I reckon it’s come from the Citadel, so it must open the way to something holy!” Obtaining the key is the first part of the puzzle; the next step is to find the door that you can unlock with the Simple Key. The door is not that far away; it’s pretty close to the Bone Bottom area.

What Does the Simple Key Unlock In Silksong?

The Simple Key unlocks the door to Wormways, a brand new area west of Mosshome, north of Moss Grotto. After buying it, take the elevator on the left to the upper level. Get out of the elevator and climb to the top. Here on the left, you will see a couple of hanging cells. All you have to do is jump over them to get to the other side.

Note: If you haven’t unlocked the elevator at the Bone Bottom, then take the left from the Bell Beast boss area (Travel) spot, and you will get to the place pretty quickly.

While it might look simple, it could be a bit difficult to pull it off. Use the flies around the cell to propel yourself upwards to land on the cell. After landing on a few cells, you will be able to reach the area on the left. Get inside, prepare for a boss fight. While you can fight off the boss, you can also skip it. Keep moving to the right and avoid the boss’s attack if you decide to skip.

At the end, get through the doorway, and you will arrive in a secret area with a locked door on the left. You can open the door with the Simple Key. But before you unlock the door, make sure to go down and get to the water area at the bottom. Here, if you break the wall on the right, you will get a Mask Shard.
