Despite having an interactive map, exploration is a key activity in Once Human. Soon after you dive into the game, you will need a vehicle for faster exploration and traveling. In order to unlock a car or any vehicle for that matter, you will first need to build a garage and fulfill a bunch of requirements. How To Build A Car in Once Human
Before you can start the process of building a car in Once Human you need to unlock Garage, Modification I, and Four Wheeler. To unlock these facilities, you need to:
- Click on the Memetics Cradle.
- Select Memetics.
- Go to the Building section.
- Unlock the Garage / Modification I / Four Wheeler structure by fulfilling the individual requirements.
Purchasing the blueprints for Four Wheeler will give you access to both Retro Coupe and ATV (All Terrain Vehicle). Once these requirements are met you can start building your dream car:
- Find a flat surface and choose the Garage option from Building Memetics, this will build a garage on that very spot.
- Interact with the Garage and press X to reveal the vehicles list.
- Choose between a Retro Coupe and an ATV.
- Select the Basic Parts for the car according to your preference (Choosing superior-grade crafting materials enhances the efficiency and durability of the car).
- After the car is built, click on the Vehicles List once again (through Garage).
- Press F to place the car in the garage.
- Exit the garage.
- Press G to place the car on the ground and start driving it.

The Basic parts include Engine, Frame, Tires, and Oil Tank. The crafting requirements will mostly include scrap materials and resources that you can farm by exploring the game environment and defeating enemies. You can also upgrade your car to improve speed and mileage. This will require you to provide additional crafting material.
