Finding beauty in horror is tough, but Dying Light: The Beast shows it can be done with the Last Wish sidequest, which is about honoring an old woman’s last wish in her final moments. Even with its beauty, the quest isn’t that simple. There’s a lot you need to do to complete it, but the rewards are just as worth it. Here’s how to complete the Last Wish sidequest and open the safe in the end in Dying Light: The Beast.
Find Henry’s Grave and Investigate Iris’ House
Visiting Henry’s Grave: The first thing you need to do after you reach the quest location around The Vale with your car is look for Henry’s grave and investigate Iris’ house. To find Henry’s Grave, head inside the garden behind the house, and search for trees with orange leaves. Below the trees, you’ll find Henry’s grave, and upon interacting with it, you’ll place some flowers on it.
Collecting Iris’s Note: Once you’re done, head to the front of the house and look for a basketball hoop. From there, head right and find the ladder, which will take you to the roof of the Iris’ House. Use the ladder to climb up, then break the barricaded window in front to get access to the house via the bathroom. Inside the house, head to the lounge and collect Iris’ note, then go to the bedroom and interact with the safe inside the progress the Last Wish sidequest.
You’ll then be asked to head into Henry’s shop in the town after a quick conversation with Iris’ caretaker. Before heading out to progress the Last Wish sidequest further, go to the basement and use your lockpick to unlock the door, which will give you access to a plethora of valuable loot. Collect the loot, then use the front door upstairs to leave for the Old Town.
Safe Location & Code
Travel to Old Town and head to Henry’s shop, which is inside the Nate’s Market Dark Zone, where you can also find the Orange Hotel safe solution. Inside Henry’s shop, you must take care of the Biters inside the room, and lockpick the door behind the counter to get the solution for the safe back in Iris’ House. The code is 20-07-06.
Before you leave, loot the entire area, including the basement, where you need to lockpick a vault and grab all the valuable gear you can. Once you’re done, use the car to head back to Iris’ house. Now, this is where it gets tricky. After heading inside the bedroom in the house, you’ll notice that the safe (which you previously interacted with) has disappeared.
Don’t panic, use your Survival Instincts to search for clues, and you’ll notice some footprints on the ground. Following the footprints will lead you to the location as shown on the map above. In this area, you’ll find a barn inside which you need to break in. Head behind the barn to spot a broken window, and inside it, a couple of enemies. Take out the enemies and progress through the barn.
Once you’ve taken care of them, you’ll notice that there are multiple safes inside the barn; three to be exact. Look for the table with two safes. In this table, the safe on the left will be your point of interest. Input the code that you obtained earlier to open the safe and collect a music box. Return it to Iris and have a quick chat with her to end the Last Wish quest.
