Ortega’s Helm Location In Dragon Quest 3 Remake
To find Ortega’s Helm, you need to venture out to the Village Of Mur and activate one of the quests here. You can find the Village of Mur during the quest to pick up Black Pepper for the King of Portoga. After you gain access to Nordy’s Grotto, you can continue towards the north-eastern section of the eastern continent to find the village of Mur.
You can also reach this place if you travel northeast from Alltrades Abbey. If you have the ship after completing the King of Portoga’s questline, then you can set sail and travel to the coastline to find the village.
How To Get Ortega’s Helm In Dragon Quest 3 Remake
Once you reach Mur, talk to all the inhabitants in the village, then make your way to the village shop. Inside the shop is where the Ortega’s Helm is kept on display, but you can’t purchase or claim it for now. Rather, talk to the shopkeeper to learn more about the helm, then exit the village. Casually pass the time outside the village, then reenter to view a cutscene. If the cutscene does not appear, exit the village and reenter from the western entrance.

During the cutscene, an Old Man will mistake you for someone called Peredvizhnik. You also learn that Peredvizhnik was a savior of the village and had rescued a kid called Petya. You now have to explore the village to find Petya and talk to him. You can find him inside the store’s second floor and is available only during the daytime. You can talk to the shopkeeper before you head upstairs to learn more about the Hero of Mur. Then, talk to Petya to know about his backstory. After doing that, return to the shopkeeper.
Collect Ortega’s Helm
The shopkeeper will stop you anyway, since he overheard your conversation with Petya. The info that stood out to him was the fact that you hail from Aliahan, which is the same town the Hero came from. Seeing that the special item will be in good hands, he entrusts the helm to you, thus helping you acquire Ortega’s Helm. While the questline may end here, you can still take the helm to Aliahan and speak to your mother about it to get a heartwarming flashback.
