With each new chapter that you unlock, you can complete several quests to learn more about the lore of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Besides the main story quests, you can also find regional quests when you start exploring new areas. There are also NPC side quests and companion quests that can give you a short break from the mundane.

Once you reach Dock Town in Minrathous district, you can pick up a quick side quest called A Hidden Hoard. For this quest, you need to locate an Ancient Door, solve a puzzle, and pick up the hidden treasure within. In this guide we have put up how to complete A Hidden Hoard quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How To Complete A Hidden Hoard Quest In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

If you saved Minrathous during the quest A Warden’s Best Friend, then you can explore Dock Town and find the Hidden Hoard side quest. To start the quest, make your way to Wharf Crossing North at Level 2 and check out the bulletin board. After starting the quest, you need to locate three notes scattered all across Dock Town to get clues about a hidden treasure. Below are the steps you need to complete to get to the treasure.

    • The first note can be found in Wharf Crossing South. There is a beacon in the area and a shop close to the beacon. Enter the shop and investigate the table to get the first note.
    • For the second note, head over to Side Alley Bridge and enter the Tidarion Tower in the north section of the area. Climb up the ledge in front of you and make your way up the platforms. Once you reach the wooden floored section of the tower with a treasure chest at the end, you will find the second note beside it.

    • Now, for the final note, head straight to Shoreline Passage on Level 1 and explore the Paper Seller’s store to get it. You will also get the Heavy Bronze Key, which is required to unlock a secret door within the Catacombs.

You have to locate the Catacombs and head deep inside to find the hidden treasure. Luckily, the Catacombs is on the opposite side of the Paper Seller’s store on Level 1. Make your way across the boat and enter the Catacombs, then follow the path north to find the Ancient Door.

The path will start curving southward and you will eventually reach a locked gate. Kill all the ambushers first, then use the Heavy Bronze Key on the Ancient Door. Inside the chamber are a few treasure chests that you can loot to get some unique rewards like the Rare Battle Horn +6 Axe for Taash.

There are a few more unique items to find while exploring all the regions within Dragon Age: The Veilguard, like the Reptile Recurve Shortbow item. But you need to solve a quick puzzle before you can get it, and our guide will help you out.
