The final objective in the Witches questline of Crimson Desert is to decipher records analyzed by the witches. This objective requires players to find four key materials and craft the Abyssal Fusion at Grimnir’s Kuku Pot.
Due to the enormous size of Crimson Desert’s map, players can spend many hours searching every nook and cranny for the right materials. Instead of doing that, you should use this guide to help you.

How to Get Small Kuku A.T.A.G.
The first item you need for the Abyssal Fusion is a Small Kuku A.T.G, which is essentially this game’s version of a mech. Players can earn the blueprint to craft this item by completing the Pots and Weapons quest of the Ironflame Orcs faction.
Players can start this quest during Chapter 12 of the main story, so if you haven’t made it this far, you’ll just need to continue progressing the game. Once you complete this quest, you will earn the Small Kuku A.T.G blueprint that allows you to craft one at Grimnir’s Kuku Pot.
How to Get Golden Star Component
The next item you’ll need to craft the Abyssal Fusion is the Golden Star Component, which is another item that is only available during main story progression. Players will earn this item after defeating the Golden Star dragon boss during Chapter 11 of Crimson Desert.
The Golden Star boss is unmissable and is encountered during the Master of the Forgotten Land quest of Chapter 11. Once you defeat this boss, the Golden Star Component will automatically be added to your inventory.
How to Get Aeserion’s Scale
Aeserion’s Scale seems very difficult to find at first, but there’s actually one location on the map called “Daggerhead Monolith” that has them in abundance. Make your way to the location shown in the image above to find Aeserion’s Scale.
When you approach said location, you will discover a giant dragon and a horde of enemies shooting at it. Make your way to the ruins that the dragon is defending and look around on the ground to find Aeserion’s Scale. Like I said, there are tons here, so it is very hard to miss.
How to Get Power Core – Ore of Resipiscence
The last item that you need to craft the Abyssal Fusion in Crimson Desert is the Power Core – Ore of Resipiscence. This item is only dropped by certain Abyss enemies that are pretty hard to find. Make your way southeast of the Ironwood location shown below to find the Abyss enemy in question.
This Abyss enemy resembles a snake and comes out of the ground when you get close. Defeating this enemy will have it drop the Power Core – Ore of Resipiscence, and once it does, seal it in your Kuku Pot by using Axiom Force on it and selecting the Seal option.
How to Decipher Records Analyzed by Witches
Now that you have found all the necessary materials, make your way to Grimnir’s Kuku Pot (location shown in image attached) and craft the Abyssal Fusion. The Abyssal Fusion can be found on the bottom right of the crafting screen.
Once you craft the Abyssal Fusion the quest to “decipher records analyzed by Witches” will be completed and you can continue on with the quest.
