Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days will have you explore several areas for items and also defending yourself against the zombies infiltrating that place. The game does supply you with weapons, but you will notice some wear and tear as you keep using them. It can be a pain to keep trying to find new weapons, and being the seasoned player that you are, you would probably look to repairing these weapons. This guide gives you the breakdown of whether you can repair weapons or not in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days.

Melee weapons are the only weapons that can’t be repaired, but you can repair your handgun. Once you keep using a weapon, its durability will reduce. While scavenging for more weapons might seem like the answer, you can also craft a weapons workbench and craft weapons here too.

The best way to use weapons is to keep switching them out whenever you think they are about to break, so keep an arsenal of them in your inventory while you are out and about. If all else fails, you can still use your hands to fight off zombies.

The only way you can get weapons in the game is to scavenge around different POIs on the map. When you select an area, check whether the weapons bar is filled in the information box. That means that you have a higher chance of obtaining weapons in this particular area, but sometimes the weapons you get might not be worthwhile.

In some runs, you might end up just collecting blunt weapons or weapons that can break easily. You might have to scavenge several areas to find what you need, and even then, these locations are swarming with zombies. The main takeaway is that you need to rerun locations or keep scavenging new locations till you can find new and worthy weapons.

If you need more help navigating the game, we have other Into the Dead Our Darkest Day guides like All Character Locations, How To Repair Barricade, and How To Change Shelters to know more.
