Windrose – How to Get the Conquistador’s Armor

If you want to go for a tanky build in Windrose, then you’ll want to get the Conquistador’s Armor set. This set gives you 15% damage resistance if you’re wearing two pieces, and the Bulwark effect if you have four pieces equipped, which prevents the first few hits you take from interrupting your actions.

The Conquistador’s Cuirass and Pants are found in one reliable location, but the gloves, boots, and hat are acquired almost purely through luck. Either way, you’ll need 200 Piastre in order to purchase what you can for the set.

The plans for the Conquistador’s Cuirass and Pants are both purchased in Tortuga from the Smugglers of Port Royal provisioner, but you need to be at reputation Level 2 with them before you can buy the plans. They cost 200 Piastre each, and then you’ll be able to craft them at your Armor and Clothing Workshop.

For Level 1, the recipes are:

    • Cuirass – 4 Copper Ingots and 2 Coarse Fabric
    • Pants – 3 Copper Ingots and 2 Coarse Fabric

For Level 2, the recipes are:

    • Cuirass – 4 Foothills Iron Ingots, 2 Linen Fabric, and 1 Smithing Flux
    • Pants – 3 Foothills Iron Ingots, 2 Linen Fabric, and 1 Smithing Flux

For the rest of the set, you’ll get them from chests found at points of interest. You have a chance to pull out a piece from any set in POI chests, but that also means that there’s no way to guarantee you’ll get them at any particular location.

However, you can invite a friend to your game who has the recipes for the Conquistador’s Armor already unlocked and have them make the pieces you haven’t unlocked. Once you have the items, you’ll unlock the recipes for them.

For Level 1, the recipes are:

    • Helmet – 2 Copper Ingots and 2 Coarse Fabric
    • Gloves – 2 Copper Ingots and 2 Coarse Fabric
    • Boots – 2 Copper Ingots and 2 Coarse Fabric

For Level 2, the recipes are:

    • Helmet – 3 Foothills Iron Ingots, 2 Linen Fabric, and 1 Smithing Flux
    • Gloves – 2 Foothills Iron Ingots, 2 Linen Fabric, and 1 Smithing Flux
    • Boots – 2 Foothills Iron Ingots, 2 Linen Fabric, and 1 Smithing Flux

If you’re lucky enough to get the Helmet, Gloves, and Boots from chests and purchase the Cuirass and Pants, then you’ll be ready to craft and equip the full Conquistador’s Armor set in Windrose.
