There is a third upgrade to install in Ol’ Tessie that will give the truck a fighting chance. You will already get two upgrades for Ol’ Tessie, the T.E.D.D. Head and the Pack-A-Punch. To get the third one, you need to go through a wave of zombies and complete a unique quest objective to get the special truck part. This guide will explain how to upgrade your truck a third time in BO7 Zombies.
Obtaining the Freezer Key in BO7 Zombies
The Freezer Key drops from the Cook Zombie at Reba’s Diner. Head over to Reba’s Diner first by heading south from the Ashwood Garage and passing through Orda Graveyard to reach Exit 115. Enter the Diner and wait for the Cook zombie to appear. It might take several waves of zombies to find the Cook, so it’s best to upgrade your weapons and get additional perks before you enter the diner.
Once inside, stand your ground and keep fighting the enemy wave. Once you have killed the Cook, loot the Freezer Key off it. Head over to the back of the diner and use the Freezer Key on the freezer off to the side. It will take a while to unlock the freezer, so you need to stay on guard while you use the key. Once it has been unlocked, collect the Abomination Carcass from within, then exit the diner and back to Ol’ Tessie.
Upgrade Ol’ Tessie
Head back to the Ashwood Garage by taking the northern route. Park the truck inside the garage, then hop off and use the workbench. This will give you the option to upgrade Ol’ Tessie again, which uses up the Abomination Carcass. Once the upgrade is completed, you will now find Ol’ Tessie having a row of three monstrous heads on the hood.
These heads will shoot laser beams at oncoming zombies, which is a highly useful skill to keep zombies at bay and away from your truck. To use the power of the Abomination Hood, you just need to press the same button that you use to shoot a gun. This will release a row of three laser beams in a straight line, one from each head. This will hit whatever is in its path and deal damage.
