New features and badges have been added to the Mesa update in PEAK, and figuring out all these hidden achievements seems to be more challenging this time around. To find out the entire collection of badges available for the current update, we have compiled a list of all the achievements we found so far and how to get them in PEAK.
All New Badges and How to Get Them in PEAK
So far, 10 new Mesa badges have been uncovered, and to get each of them, you need to complete certain hidden tasks that aren’t explained in the game. Check out the list of badges below and how to get them.
| Badge | How to Get |
| Aeronautics | Collect 5 balloons and start flying. Balloons are obtained after locating and using balloon packs. |
| Daredevil | Use the Scout Cannon right at the start of the canyon path before climbing up the Mesa mountain. The exact path you need to place the cannon is right when the path goes downwards, between the mountain and the canyon. It isn’t necessary to put yourself in the cannon, as some players get this achievement by just lighting it up and walking towards the canyon. If the achievement doesn’t unlock, head back and put yourself into the cannon, light it up, then fly across. Your flight distance doesn’t matter for this achievement to pop up. |
| Megaentomology | Search the canyon for any big pits and look around or inside the pit for explorers’ luggage. Jump inside the pit and have the Antlion inside it land a few hits on you. Kill it after that and climb out to get the badge. |
| Astronomy | Just as you enter the canyon, use your binoculars to look up at the sun. |
| Needlepoint | Before you head away from the plane wreckage, check around for a frisbee or flying disk. Have someone toss it to you from a distance, but not too far from your location. Try to catch the frisbee while it is midair to unlock the badge. This badge also unlocks if the frisbee hits you or if you pick it up immediately. Note: Hosts will not get this achievement, and it only works if you join a lobby. |
| 24 Karat | This badge is currently unobtainable, as it requires access to the tomb. Having a Seed Mod is the only way to progress through this area, after which you either collect the golden idol or red jewel from the statue and toss it into the lava pit. |
| Cool Cucumber | Locate rounded cactuses and walk or jump around them to have them stick to your body. It needs to be the whole cactus and not the thorns themselves. Requires 5 or more cactuses stuck to yourself before the achievement unlocks. Note: having cactuses stuck to you will cause fainting. This is avoided by plucking them out in the last minute after unlocking the achievement. |
| Ultimate | Before you head away from the plane wreckage, check around for a frisbee or flying disk. Have someone toss it to you from a distance, but not too far from your location. Try to catch the frisbee while it is midair to unlock the badge. This badge also unlocks if the frisbee hits you or if you pick it up immediately. Note: Hosts will not get this achievement, and only works if you join a lobby. |
| Nomad | Reach the campfire at the very top of the Mesa mountain while surviving all the environmental elements and enemies here. |
| Resourcefulness | Enable the cannibalism option in the game’s settings, then enter multiplayer mode. Do not consume anything and wait for your hunger to reach 75%. Then, lock in on a friend and consume them. To know whether a player is consumable, they will turn into a cooked chicken when you get close to them. |
