PEAK: How to Play With More Than 4 Players

Since PEAK only allows a max of 4 players, things can go downhill rather quickly. If you require some extra hands, there is a way to bypass this rule. But, this will require a third party application to run alongside your game. If you wish to know how to increase your lobby size and have more friends to play with, this guide will cover everything there is to know about it in PEAK.

Increasing the PEAK lobby size requires you to install a mod, but first, you have to go through the following steps.

    • For starters, the mod to increase lobby size can only be done by the host.
    • The host player needs to download and install BepInEx.
    • Next, browse the game’s local files by heading into Steam’s Library and right clicking on PEAK.
    • Go through the menu and select Manage > Browse Local Files.
    • Drag and drop the BepInEx folder into the PEAK local game folder, then extract its contents here.
    • Launch the game, then immediately close it.
    • Next, visit the thunderstore.io webpage and download the PEAK Unlimited mod.
    • Download and unzip the mod file, then copy only the PeakUnlimited.dll file.
    • Paste it into PEAK BepInEx’s plugins folder.

    • Launch the game and interact with the Invite kiosk to find that your lobby size has increased.
    • You can invite a maximum of 20 players through this mod, but it is recommended to keep your player count below that to prevent the game from crashing or lagging.
    • There is a way to restrict the number of players joining your lobby. To do that, head back into the BepInEx folder within your PEAK game files.
    • Then, select the Config folder, then double click on the PeakUnlimited.cfg file.
    • Once the notepad with the game’s code appears, tweak the numbers next to Max Players.
    • You can also tweak the amount of marshmallows that spawn within the game by looking down the list and typing False instead of True beside the ExtraMarshamllows code.
    • Save the notepad file, then relaunch your game to find all your new changes.

Depending on your system, you might find that the game can lag or crash if you have mods installed. If that happens, you won’t have a choice here rather than to uninstall all mods and play the game as per usual.
