Valheim offers players several challenges and rewards as they navigate through the game’s different biomes. One such reward is the Wishbone, a unique item that a player gets after defeating Bonemass, the third boss of Swamp Biome in Valheim. The Wishbone is a big help in finding loot while exploring in Valheim. And given that finding resources and loot is such a key part of the overall gameplay in Valheim, the Wishbone is a must-have in the game. In this guide, we have put up all the details on the Wishbone in Valheim including its location & uses.

    Wishbone in Valheim

    How To Get The Wishbone

Wishbone drops as a confirmed loot on defeating Bonemass, the third boss in the Valheim. You will come across Bonemass in the Swamp biome; be sure to carry 10 Withering Bones from nearby crypts. Once you have collected these, head to the summoning altar and prepare for the battle. We recommend to keep your distance as much as possible and use ranged attacks to take down Bonemas. Up close, the boss has powerful attacks that can quickly wipe away chunks of your health.

    How To Use The Wishbone

Equip The Wishbone from the inventory into your accessory slot. Keep in mind that this cannot be used with other accessories like the Megingord.

    Finding Silver In The Mountains

    locating Silver in Valheim

One of the main uses of the Wishbone is to locate silver in the mountainous regions of Valheim. The Wishbone will make a beeping noise with green particles emanating around you and the closer you get to silver; the beeping noise will get faster and higher in pitch. When the beeping reaches a rapid tempo, you can start digging at that spot to get silver.

It is advisable to excavate the entire area around the silver as they are like veins typically just beneath the surface, they are often branching out like roots of trees and silver can contain multiple nodes.

Finding Iron In Muddy Piles In The Swamps

    locating Iron in Valheim

The Wishbone also helps find iron located in the muddy scrap piles in the Swamp biome. Iron is used in Valheim to craft several items, and is a key resource in the game.

    Finding Buried Treasures

The Wishbone also helps find buried treasure in the Meadows Biome. While you explore the Meadows, watch out for a circular set of stones that mark Viking burial grounds and contain buried treasures. Equip the Wishbone when you are near these sites and the familiar beeping sounds and tempo will guide you to the treasure.

And that completes everything you need to know on the Wishbone in Valheim. The game is a tough survival game, and having the right armor can help you big time when exploring.
