PS Plus Essential Additions for September have been announced and are headlined by Quidditch Champions. The game will be available on day 1 of its release – September 3 for all PS Plus members. The other two games are MLB The Show 24 and Little Nightmares II.
Harry Potter Quidditch Champions
The game brings the eagerly awaited Quidditch game of the Harry Potter universe to video games. It is being worked upon by Portkey Games and releases for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch on Sep 3. The game is a multi-player game that can be played solo or with friends. The game will also have a Career Mode that takes the players into the Quidditch World Cup as well and lets you play either as major characters from the story or create a customized and brand new character.
MLB The Show 24
MLB The Show 24 launched on Mar 15 this year and is developed by San Diego Studio. The game sits pretty with a Generally Favorable score of 80 on Metacritic. While the solid gameplay mechanics help the game’s cause, even new additions like Impact Plays have been appreciated by critics and gamers.
Little Nightmares II
Little Nightmares II is the sequel to an indie hit and launched in Feb 2021. The game is a horror adventure game with puzzles and platforming. It was developed by Tarsier Studio and published by Bandai Namco; and builds on the adventures of Mono in its attempts to survive in Pale City. The game received rave reviews with the tight gameplay along with the atmosphere and world-building being considered as highlights for the game, and was also a big hit commercially with a million number sales milestone coming through within a month of release.
The August PS Plus Essential games – LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach and Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights stay till September 2nd; so be sure to add them to your game libraries before that if you plan to play them later.
