Black Myth Wukong features several interesting side quests – and all of these are worth doing as they unlock secret areas filled with some awesome boss fights and rewards that make the exploration fully worth it. One such side quest that you should do in Chapter 3 is the Fox Quest; and among the many interesting things about this is the opportunity to transform into a fox and play for a part of this quest line! Black Myth Wukong Fox Quest Location
The Fox Quest in Black Myth Wukong kicks off in Chapter 3 at the Forest of Felicity region. Interact with a corpse lying just ahead of The New West Keeper’s Shrine; just outside a gate leading to stairs to start the Fox Quest.
How To Complete The Fox Quest In Black Myth Wukong
Completing the Fox Quest in Black Myth Wukong requires you to transform into a fox, make your way to the New Thunderclap Mountain, and defeat the Non-Void boss.
We have put a step-by-step guide on this:
- Listen to the dialog to get the hint for the next location – the New Thunderclap Temple. Click on Examine once again and the fox spirit will jump from the corpse into you, transforming you into a fox!
- This also equips the Snow Fox Brush into your inventory, which can be used to transform back into a fox. This will be required because if you get hit while you are a fox, you will transform back into a human.
- However, keep in mind that you will not be able to use this item while there are enemies nearby. It is best to deal with them in the human form before using the Snow Fox Brush.
- Follow the uphill path to the temple – the path is fairly easy to follow, and the line of frozen corpses along the way guides you towards it.
- There will be a boss fight just outside the temple with Captain Kalpa-Wave. Defeat the boss and continue up ahead. In case other enemies spot you; deal with them in the human form and continue ahead.
- Use the Snow Fox Brush to transform back into a fox. You need to be in your fox form to interact with the monk inside the temple for the quest to progress. As soon as you approach the monk, a cutscene will play out; and the monk changes into the Non-Void boss at the end of it. Cue for a boss fight!
- Once the boss is defeated, return to the corpse, and after a brief dialog, the quest will end. The Snow Fox Brush will remain with you as a Curio item
Tips To Defeat The Non-Void Boss In New ThunderClap Temple
- As soon as the boss fight starts, use the Immobilize spell and unleash everything that you have onto the boss.
- The boss is a pretty agile one and relies on quick dodges and dashing around the area. He also has the ability to turn invisible and teleport around the boss fight area, so keep that in mind – the last couple of attacks of your combo most likely will not land.
- He will try to pull his arms in – when that happens, you can land in a few quick hits, but be ready to dodge – the follow-up attack is a pretty strong one and can wipe out a decent chunk of your health.
- The other attack to watch out for is when he summons all the worship cards and they follow you; while at the same time, he shoots projectiles. Keep moving sideways to avoid the cloud of worship cards, and have the boss in your sights to be able to dodge every time he shoots a projectile at you.
Other than these, it should not be a very difficult fight – considering the ones that you have had on your way here.
On defeating the Non-Void boss, you get the following drops:
- 1174 Will
- 1 * Tonifying Decoction
- 2 * Cold Iron Leaves
