Black Myth Wukong, while being a combat focused action game also has its own set of NPCs with side quests which, if completed more often than not lead to tense and exciting boss fights and some really good rewards. One such NPC that you may come across is a Drunken Boar; and I highly recommend to take this side quest up. In this article, we have put up all the details, including the location, how to complete and rewards for the Drunken Boar Quest in Black Myth Wukong
Drunken Boar Quest Location In Black Myth Wukong
You can start this side quest by locating and speaking to the Drunken Boar in the Fright Cliff area in Yellow Wind Ridge. However, before you do that, it is recommended that you collect and keep a Sobering Stone ready. Here is a step by step guide to locate and complete the 1st part of the Drunken Boar quest in Black Myth Wukong:
- Collect the Sobering Stone in either of the following two ways :
- Purchase it from the Man-In-Stone by completing his quest line and unlocking him as a vendor.
- Start from the Windrest Bridge Keeper’s Shrine, turn back, cross the bridge, take the stairs on the left and then on the right to arrive at the deserted village with a lone enemy there. Defeat him to get a Sobering Stone
- Start from the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine and take the path on the right onto an open area to find the Drunken Boar.
- Interact with him and give the Sobering Stone, and he will then indicate his next location – the Temple of Crouching Tiger.
How To Complete The Drunken Boar Quest In Black Myth Wukong
- Collect and keep a Jade Lotus ready before beginning the next set of steps – this can be found near water bodies in the Yellow Wind Ridge region.
- Head to the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine and you will find the Drunken Boar just after the first set of stairs on the right, craving for Jade Lotus – give him one.
- Now head back to the area in Rockrest Flat where you came across the Boar for the first time, and take on the Yellow Robbed Squire boss that spawns in the area.
- Head up the stairs and select Go In when prompted – this then has a lengthy cutscene and unlocks a new Secret area : the Kingdom of Sahali.
- There are 2 boss fights in this area – one with Tiger Vanguard, followed by a cut scene and the final boss fight for the area with Fuban. There is a Keeper’s Shrine just before each of the two boss fights, so if you are having trouble with either of them you can come back later.
Completion Rewards For The Drunken Boar Quest In Black Myth Wukong
Defeating the final boss in the Kingdom of Sahali gives you the ‘Shifting Sands’ trophy / achievement. In addition to that, you get the Wind Tamer Vessel – one of four that you can collect over the game. Vessels are powerful objects that give you a passive bonus and an active skill that you can use – however you can equip only one Vessel at a time. Collecting all four Vessels nets you the ‘Treasure Trove’ trophy / achievement.
