Palworld 1.0 – How to Breed Anubis

Breeding is a difficult mechanic to master in Palworld, especially now that the understood formulas have been reworked with the 1.0 launch. If fully figured out, you can rush certain late-game pals much earlier than intended. Today, we’re specifically going over how to breed Anubis.

    Understanding Breeding in Palworld 1.0

Breeding is a seemingly random process in Palworld, but each combination of parent pals actually only has a few set outcomes. After unlocking the Breeding Farm at level 19 of the Ancient Tech Tree, you can construct one in any base.

To construct a Breeding Farm, you’ll need 10 Wooden Boards, 20 Stone, and 50 stacks of Fiber. Once constructed, it is easiest to use an Assignment Board to set two specific Pals as breeding partners so no other Pals jump in or either of the pair pivots to other nearby work.

The Breeding Farm can be manned by any two Pals, as long as one is male and one is female. Once they spend some time together, they’ll make an egg that can be incubated to hatch a fresh Pal with a mix of the passives and abilities of its parents.

Placing certain foods, like the Extravagant Vegetable Cake, into the box near the Breeding Farm can modify or enhance the resulting egg, netting you even stronger Pals. Now that we understand breeding itself, lets go over how to breed Anubis specifically as fast as possible.

How to Breed Anubis at Early Levels (35~)

The simplest way to breed an Anubis would be to place two Anubis inside the Breeding Farm together, but if you’re without one, how can you get one? Through a very specific sequence of breeding found by the community, you can guarantee an Anubis at the end of the chain.

In order to breed an Anubis at very early levels…

    • Snag a Blazamut and a Blazehowl from the Huge Scorching Eggs located around Mount Obsidian. These can appear anywhere packs of Pals roam, so keep an eye out for nests.
    • Breed Sparkit and Relaxaurus for a Relaxaurus Lux
    • Breed the Relaxarus Lux with the Blazamut to get a Jormuntide.
    • Breed the Jormuntide with the Blazehowl for a Jormuntide Ignis
    • Breed the Jormuntide Ignis with a Relaxaurus Lux to finally get Anubis

Congrats! You’ve traded your way up to an Anubis far before you’re meant to nab it! Use this powerful Pal to beat down other powerful field bosses or towers once you have it leveled.

Starting from stolen eggs allows how to kickstart the process early, avoiding catching Pals that are likely out of your early game wheelhouse.

How to Breed Anubis at Higher Levels (50 Upwards)

Once you reach higher levels and upgrade both your combat and exploration capabilities, your options for breeding Anubis spike. As stated before, the simplest method comes from heading to Anubis’s field boss spawn, at coordinates -134, -95.

Placing two of the same Pal, even Anubis, will guarantee the child to be the same species as both parents, as long as it doesn’t mutate. This Alpha field boss spawn for Anubis promises better base stats and higher ranks on its passives, so it’s a perfect choice for breeding.

If you can’t be bothered or want to move some other passives around, here are a few more breeding combos that can result in an Anubis.

    • Jormuntide Ignis and Relaxaurus Lux will net an Anubis no matter how you get them, so keep that duo in mind.
    • Sekhmet, found all across the world’s desert biomes, and Shaolong, caught in the World Tree.
    • Alternatively, Shaolong and Ghangler, caught by the shores north of Feybreak and Mount Obsidian’s northwestern shore.
    • Gildane and any choice of Jormuntide Ignis, Lyleen Noct, Paladius, Necromus, Knocklem Ignis, Tetroise Primo, or Ophydia.
    • Univolt Cryst, found in the World Tree’s Icy northwest, and any choice of Blazamut, Selyne, Moldron Cryst, Azurmane, Xenolord, Flaracle, or Whalaska Ignis.
    • Suzaku Aqua, found across Sunreach, and any choice of Lyleen Noct, Paladius, Necromus, Knocklem Ignis, Neptilius, or Tetroise Primo.
    • Sibelyx Primo, found in the southernmost corner of the World Tree, and any choice of Eidrolon, Knocklem, Dualith Noct, Solenne, or Renjishi.
    • Wumpo, found at the northernmost icy continent to the east of the Foot of the World Tree, and any choice of Orserk, Bellanoir Libero, Hartalis, or Jetragon.
    • Lyleen or Lyleen Noct with Walaska or Ghangler Ignis. Either Lyleen with either fish can result in an Anubis.
    • Jormuntide Ignis with Moldron, caught at the highest points of Mount Obsidian.
    • A Blazamut caught in Mount Obsidian alongside a Faleris, Shadowbeak or an Astegon.
    • Suzaku Aqua, caught in Sunreach, and any choice of Necromus, Paladius, Lyleen Noct, Tetroise Primo, Knocklem Ignis, or Neptilius

Most of these Pals are highly powerful beasts, so make sure you’ve got a powerful weapon of your own, some decent Pals, and enough quality Pal Spheres to make multiple attempts. Exotic Spheres are a minimum, so make sure you’ve got some decent base Pals keeping your tools stocked.

    Why Hunt for Anubis?

Anubis is a highly powerful Pal that became infamous in the community for its relative ease of access in the early game. Even with the reworked Breeding system, Anubis is a monster of an Earth element Pal that is more that work snagging.

Not only is it a highly useful base Pals thanks to its whopping 6 in both Handiwork and Mining, but its unique Partner Skill and massive Earth damage make it stellar for late-game battles. It boasts a few unique attacks that, alongside its high Attack stat, can nuke opponents.

As long as Anubis is summoned, it will grant the player a buff to their damage, up to 10%, while turning it into Earth damage no matter the weapon. It will also sidestep attacks, keeping it in the fight much longer than other Pals of similar HP.

While other Pals may be superior in their own niches, Anubis is a fantastic all-arounder in every form of play, always providing value.
