Limbus Company – Best Dawn Office Faust Build

Long have we waited, and the patient are rewarded! Walpurgisnacht has returned, and with it a new set of Identities based on previous characters from Project Moon’s world. This time, the Dawn Office is fully assembled, here to grant Tremor and Burn players new toys and strengthen some old greats.

Alongside Seasonal Capstone IDs, Walpurgisnacht units are amongst the most powerful, and the new Dawn Office Faust is no exception. Let’s go over her kit, where she shines, and what the best Dawn Office Faust build looks like!

Is Dawn Office Faust Worth Pulling?

    Dawn Office Faust's Uptie Story

Tremor has been eating very well recently, thanks to the addition of the Thumb House of Spiders Duo. With the new Dawn Office IDs, Tremor is sitting pretty. If you care about either Burn or Tremor, Dawn Office Faust is a fantastic addition to either team.

While Tremor players will enjoy another AOE heavy hitter for Scorch, Burn players should absolutely roll thanks to the massive buffs Faust grants to Dawn Office Sinclair, a longtime Burn powerhouse.

As a new Walpurgisnacht ID, Faust cannot be sharded. You’ll only be able to get her through pulling unless you’re willing to wait another 4 months for Walp to roll back around. If you’ve been smart, you’ve been saving, and if not, Walpurgisnacht is absolutely the time to drop some money on Limbus, if you’re ever going to.

    Dawn Office Faust’s Full Kit

While Faust had a strong Burn ID in LCE EGO Ardor Blossom Star, Dawn Office Faust has so much application and damage, especially with her fellow Dawn Fixers. Let’s go over every part of Dawn Faust’s kit so we can optimize her gameplan for even the toughest fights.

Let it be known that Dawn Office Faust is highly reliant on having the other Dawn Office IDs to really perform. Both Gregor and Sinclair benefit Faust, and in turn are massively buffed by her. Make sure you snag at least Dawn Office Sinclair to ensure the best Dawn Office Faust Build.

    Passive – Heatproof Coat

Whenever an Encounter starts, Dawn Office Faust gains Fire Butterfly Coffin. Fire Butterfly Coffin is Faust’s central self buff, enhancing her Base Skills while applying burn to herself at higher stacks.

Many of Faust’s skills have conditionals that grant improved clashing and damage at higher Fire Butterfly Coffin stacks. Whenever Faust hits an enemy with a Base Skill, she gains 2 Fire Butterfly Coffin.

Dawn Office Faust cannot be staggered or killed by Burn damage. She always takes 50% less damage from Burn, which increases to 75% less damage when at or below half HP.

    Passive – Seonbae

If Dawn Office Sinclair is on the field alongside Dawn Office Faust, Faust grants him the High Noon buff. High Noon is a massive boost for Dawn Sinclair, raising his Minimum Speed by 2, granting him 2 bonus Base Power, extra damage on Base Skills, and multiple individual skill buffs.

“Sunset Blade”, Dawn Office Sinclair’s Skill 2, activates the enemy’s Burn and deals it as damage if they have 15 or more Burn. “Blazing Strike”, Dawn Office Sinclair’s Skill 3-2, deals +100% damage, is converted to Unbreakable Coins, and activates the enemy’s Burn on hit.

As if that wasn’t enough of a buff to Dawn Office Sinclair’s ultimate attack, if Sinclair has 3 or more Volatile Passion from his enhanced form he consumes up to 100 Scorchfield for extra damage (up to 100%).

Scorchfield is a new mechanic introduced with the Dawn Office Fixers, storing all Burn damage dealt in a fight in the upper left corner of the screen. The Dawn Office Fixers can consume this stored total for extra damage.

If Faust is dead, she instead gives Sinclair Loneliness at High Noon. Loneliness at High Noon is simply a stronger version of High Noon, granting Dawn Office Sinclair even more damage as well as a one-time death negation when his HP first reaches 0.

As long as you run Dawn Office Faust with Dawn Office Sinclair, whether she’s alive or dead, Sinclair is greatly empowered. This makes him a sure slot in Burn alongside her and an arguable slot over Thumb Sinclair in Tremor for his sheer damage.

    Passive – Feuerfalter [Stigma Workshop]

Activated with 3 owned Wrath Resources, Faust gains 3 Fire Butterfly Coffin for every stack of Battle Instinct at Combat Start. Battle Instinct increases Faust’s Minimum and Maximum speed, allows her to inflict extra Burn potency, and amplifies the damage of her Skill 3, Skill 3-2, and her Defensive Skill 2.

Dawn Office Faust follows up with an unopposed version of her “Seconded Offensive” Skill whenever…

    • An enemy is staggered
    • Dawn Office Gregor used “Dawnsplitter” or “Crack of Dawn”
    • Dawn Office Sinclair used “Stigmatize” or “Blazing Strike”

If Dawn Office Sinclair is on the field, Faust’s Base Skills deal extra Wrath damage based on the enemy’s Burn with her Reused Coins. This counts as activating Burn for Scorchfield.

Support Passive – The Lone Fixer

Activated with 3 owned Wrath and 3 owned Lust Resources, if only a single ID is alive, including Backup units, the solo ID gains 3 Offense Level and 3 Defense Level.

Skill 1 – Flash of Sunup

    Dawn Office Faust's Skill 1

Dawn Office Faust’s Skill 1 is a 2-coin Pride Slash skill with Base Power 3 and Coin Power 4. “Flash of Sunup” gains up to 3 Final Power based on the enemy’s Burn and Tremor. Whenever “Flash of Sunup” is used, Faust gains 4 Fire Butterfly Coffin.

Dawn Office Faust gains 1 Clash Power for every 10 Fire Butterfly Coffin she has before using “Flash of Sunup”. If she has 20 or more Fire Butterfly Coffin, she can reuse the final coin once.

The first coin inflicts 2 Burn and 1 Burn Count, while the second inflicts 1 Tremor.

    Skill 1-2 Seconded Offensive

Dawn Office Faust’s Skill 1-2 is a 2-coin Gluttony Slash skill with Base Power 4 and Coin Power 3. Before it goes off, it gains bonus damage and Final Power based on Faust’s stacks of Fire Butterfly Coffin.

The first coin inflicts 1 Tremor Count, and the second coin inflicts 1 Burn Count. “Seconded Offensive” is Dawn Office Faust’s follow-up attack. Whenever any of the conditionals for her Passive – Feuerfalter [Stigma Workshop] are met, she’ll use “Seconded Offensive” for free!

    Skill 2 – Butterfly Slash

    Dawn Office Faust's Skill 2
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Dawn Office Faust’s Skill 2 is a 2-coin Sloth Slash skill with Base Power 4 and Coin Power 6. “Butterfly Slash” gains up to 3 Final Power based on the enemy’s Burn and Tremor. Whenever “Butterfly Slash” is used, Faust gains 6 Fire Butterfly Coffin.

For every 10 Fire Butterfly Coffin Faust has, “Butterfly Slash” gains +1 Clash Power and 2 final coin reuses. The first coin inflicts 1 Burn Count and 1 Tremor Count for every 10 Fire Butterfly Coffin (up to 20).

The second coin Inflicts 1 Tremor on the initial hit, then inflicts 1 Burn and 1 Tremor Burst on the Coin Reuses.

    Skill 3 – Eject

    Dawn Office Faust's Skill 3
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Dawn Office Faust’s Skill 3 is a 3-coin Wrath Slash skill with Base Power 4 and Coin Power 6. At 30 Fire Butterfly Coffin, Faust instead activates her Skill 3-2 “Eject – High Noon”. “Eject” gains up to 2 Coin Power based on the enemy’s Burn and Tremor, while also granting 8 Fire Butterfly Coffin on use.

For every 10 Fire Butterfly Coffin, “Eject” gains…

    • +1 Clash Power (Max 3)
    • 1 Extra Burn Count (Max 3)
    • 1 Extra Tremor Count (Max 3)
    • 2 final Coin Reuses (Twice per Skill Use)

The first Coin inflicts 3 Tremor. The second Coin converts Tremor into Tremor-Scorch, dealing extra Wrath damage on Tremor Burst based on the enemy’s Burn. The final Coin Tremor Bursts (up to three times) and inflicts Burn on reuse.

Skill 3-2 Eject – High Noon

Dawn Office Faust's buffed Skill 3
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Dawn Office Faust’s Skill 3-2 is a 3-Unbreakable Coin Wrath Slash skill with Base Power 5 and Coin Power 4. “Eject – High Noon” is an Unfocused Volley, meaning each Coin will randomly attack one of the three enemies that fall under its Attack Weight.

“Eject – High Noon” deals extra damage based on the Burn on Faust and the Burn on the targeted enemy. On every successful hit, Faust randomly inflicts 1 Burn or 1 Tremor. If the struck enemy has no Tremor-Scorch, Faust applies it.

On use, “Eject – High Noon” gains 3 Clash Power, as well as +1 Coin Power and +2 Clash Power for every 6 Burn + Tremor on the main target (max 2 and 4 respectively). “Eject – High Noon” also inflicts 3 Burn Count and 3 Tremor Count on all enemies caught in the Volley.

When the attack ends, Faust inflicts 1 Power Down on all enemies struck, gains 1 Battle Instinct, and gains 1 Overheated Coffin. Overheated Coffin is a unique debuff that inflicts Faust with 3 Burn at the start of the next turn before expiring.

The Skill’s first two coins only apply the above effects, while the third coin is reused twice, with each Tremor Bursting and dealing extra damage based on Faust’s Battle Instinct and the enemy’s current Burn.

    Defensive Skill – Stigmatize

    Dawn Faust's Counter
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Dawn Office Faust’s Defensive Skill is a 2-coin Wrath Slash Clashable Counter with Base Power 5 and Coin Power 4. Once combat starts, “Stigmatize” grants Faust 6 Fire Butterfly Coffin once per Encounter.

At 30 Fire Butterfly Coffin, Faust instead uses “Dismemberment at High Noon” once per turn. If Faust has Overheated Coffin, this effect is negated.

“Stigmatize” gains 1 Coin Power for every 5 Burn on Faust (up to 2) and cleanses Faust of 5 Burn once per turn. If “Stigmatize” wins its Clash, Faust cleanses an additional 3 Burn. “Stigmatize” inflicts 1 Burn with its first coin and 1 Tremor with its second coin.

Defensive Skill 2 – Dismemberment at High Noon

    Dawn Faust's Ultimate move
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Dawn Office Faust’s Defensive Skill 2 is a 3-Unbreakable Coin Wrath Slash skill with Base Power 5 and Coin Power 4. “Dismemberment at High Noon” is an Unfocused Volley, just like “Eject – High Noon”.

“Dismemberment at High Noon” deals up to 50% bonus damage based on Faust’s missing HP, and deals up to 20% bonus damage based on the target’s Burn. Every hit of “Dismemberment at High Noon” inflicts 1 Burn or Tremor and applies Tremor-Scorch to any enemy who doesn’t have any.

Like “Eject – High Noon”, “Dismemberment at High Noon” gains 3 Clash Power, as well as +1 Coin Power and +2 Clash Power for every 6 Burn + Tremor on the main target (max 2 and 4 respectively).”Dismemberment at High Noon” also inflicts 3 Burn Count and 3 Tremor Count on all enemies caught in the Volley.

Once “Dismemberment at High Noon” ends, Dawn Office Faust consumes up to 30 of the Burn she is suffering from and heals 20+consumed Burn % HP, up to 50%. She also consumes all her Fire Butterfly Coffin and gains 3 Battle Instinct, her maximum amount.

The Skill’s first two coins only apply the above effects, while the third coin is reused twice, with each Tremor Bursting and dealing extra damage based on Faust’s Battle Instinct and the enemy’s current Burn.

Think of “Dismemberment at High Noon” as an on-demand Skill 3-2. While “Dismemberment at High Noon” can’t be activated on the turn after “Eject – High Noon” goes off thanks to Overheated Coffin, activating it ASAP will grant Faust her full stacks of Battle Instinct, permanently improving her damage and stack rate of Fire Butterfly Coffin.

Dawn Office Faust Team Comps and Builds

As a member of a specific office, Faust has a couple of units she always wants to run with. Luckily, both Dawn Office Gregor and Dawn Office Sinclair are IDs that are either flexible or powerful enough to be run in multiple comps.

    Tremor-Scorch

The best Dawn Office Faust Built for Tremor
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

Supporting both Dawn Office Faust and Dawn Office Gregor’s dual Status lines, the Tremor-Scorch lineup is all about maximizing damage through Tremor-Scorch Bursts and applying massive amounts of Burn when possible.

The last 4 IDs we’ve been given all directly support this team, and running all four Thumb members we currently have is a stellar call. Thumb Nursefather Rodion and Thumb Capo Meursault will make up much of our damage thanks to their Ammo types, while Thumb East Soldato Sinclair can keep them stocked for as long as possible (even if that isn’t really an issue for Rodion).

Dawn Office Gregor backs up Faust perfectly, while the Thumb Apprentice Heathcliff covers the Thumb Nursefather and gets bonus attacks to secure even more status affliction. The final unit i found fitting in is Molar Office Outis, thanks to her solid damage and reliable Bursts.

I’ve honestly also found shocking success running Dawn Office Sinclair over Thumbclair. While he may not fit in the Tremor side of the team too well, the presence of both Dawn Office Faust and Dawn Office Gregor makes him ridiculously effective. Worth a consideration if you have all three.

The Everlasting EGO for Dawn Office Faust
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

With this lineup, Dawn Office Faust is here to ensure as many enemies as possible have Tremor-Scorch, while ensuring multi-man Bursts whenever she makes it back to 30 Fire Butterfly Coffin. Faust’s access to the “Everlasting” EGO allows her to inflict enemies with Tremor – Everlasting before combining it and any current Tremor types into a Tremor – Superposition.

TLDR: Popping “Everlasting” allows any Tremor Bursts that occur after Faust to potentially go off 2 additional times. This leads to absolutely massive damage turns and is one part of the iconic Tremor speedrun combo.

On the Tremor-Scorch team, Dawn Office Faust is incredibly consistent, inflicts mountains of both desired statuses, and can enable downright comedic amounts of damage. Finally, Mao Faust can be retired from the Tremor lineup!

    Burn

The best Dawn Office Faust Build for Burn
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

In solo Burn, Dawn Office Faust holds her own thanks to her solid damage and self heal that can be repeatedly triggered over the course of long fights. In truth, her greatest addition to the team comes from her buffs to Dawn Office Sinclair.

Dawn Office Sinclair has been a Burn mainstay for ages at this point, and has slowly been drifting out of the spotlight simply due to power creep and his aging mechanics. With Dawn Office Faust and Gregor on the field, though, Sinclair becomes an absolute monster.

Alongside the Dawn Office Trio, Burn powerhouses like Magic Bullet Outis and Liu Association Yi Sang are stellar picks. Cinq Association East Don has great damage all on her own, and the focus on Burn even allows units like Blade of the House of Spiders Ryoshu to take the field.

The Magic Bullet EGO for Outis
    Image via TheGameSlayer/Project Moon

If you want to add BoHoS Ryoshu to the lineup, consider swapping out Magic Bullet Outis for Middle Nursefather Outis. While the Middle Nursefather can hold her own in Burn, feeding the meatgrinder that is BoHoS Ryoshu a couple bodies makes her a monster.

If you find yourself lacking AOE damage, consider Lobotomy EGO Hornet Meursault, infamous for his high Attack Weight and solid Burn application.

When it comes to EGOs, Magic Bullet EGO on Outis is a must if you plan on fielding her, while running any Rodion ID (Liu Director or Thumb Nursefather both work) you can make use of Indicant’s Trial to keep the team nice and healthy.
