Choosing AI doesn’t seem to bring the exact support that many developers expect, which also lines up with the disappointing AMA response for the team behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance games, Warhorse Studios. Usually, when AMAs come around on Reddit, the team behind them can get a few questions that one might prefer to ignore, which isn’t anything new.
But instead of the usual few trolls or comments, Warhorse Studios’ AMA was met with a barrage of comments from fans who didn’t take the latest firing of their main Czech-English translator kindly.
One user hit at the latest situation by asking, “Which one of the five of you could most easily be replaced with AI, and when will you be doing so?” Somehow, the AI-related firings never affect the higher-ups, who would often be considered dead weight in such studios.
Another question reads, “Can I make my own KCD3 with ChatGPT?” After all, since Warhorse can use the tool for their games, what’s the difference if someone else is doing it? Seems like an equal opportunity playing field then.
The Most Tone-Deaf AMA of Late

By the looks of it, Warhorse Studios didn’t do much research before announcing an AMA on the r/gaming community, which is better worded by user SnakePlissken12:
“I don’t know whose brilliant idea it was to do a Warhorse AMA on one of the most AI critical subs on reddit shortly after Warhorse was in the news for firing a human in favour of AI, but I bet that person will wish they had swallowed a bottle of Saviour’s Schnapps after this AMA derails so they could load the save they made right before they made the suggestion.”
The overwhelming majority of the questions put forward by users have been critical, and it paints a troubling picture of decision-makers at Warhorse, who not only didn’t account for the backlash with the firing of a lead translator, but figured that doing a forward-facing even in the wake of it would be a brilliant idea.
